@stalker05 - you get to pick two powers with the new powers edge, or add additional trappings to an existing power.

Seeing the efficacy of Li's attack, and how Grim was surrounded, I'll grab the Sweep edge for Advance 1.

Actually, are we using the new errata'd version of sweep, or the older one from Pathfinder? New version attached.

Oh right! Thanks for reminding me. I will take Dispel as my second spell.

I am inclined to allow the errata'd version. Haven't been able to find any errata for Savage Pathfinder, but I assume it would have been changed there as well.

Pinnacle is working on updating versions of the previously printed Pathfinder books, so I imagine it would be in these once theyre out.

Hi. I'm slowly back at GP and catching up:)

I was thinking of taking rise in Agility, but then found CALCULATING edge - and it seams perfect for Li:) So taking it for my 1 advancement.

Question for the future: as Li was based on some pre-gen investigator(can't find it right now) he don't have any class edges. So could he become a fighter at next advancement if I will decide so?

Also: I will use Sweep version from errata too - from now on. So no -2 patently with my katana - I think?

I think you switched your Class Edge with another edge which is possible from the rules (but possibly less powerful) I would let you take a class edge as a normal Edge on an Advancement.

So there is no Investigator class in SW Pathfinder? At least not in my core book:)
Jul 22, 2024 1:47 pm
Not yet sadly. The Advanced Player's Guide have Cavalier, Inquisitor, Oracle, Summoner and Witch. The upcoming Advanced Player's Guide 2 will have Ninja, Magus, Gunslinger and Shifter.
Jul 22, 2024 1:55 pm
So... Inquisitor from Minkai lands? Could this thematically work? Will have to have a look at those book someday:)
Jul 22, 2024 2:44 pm
Hmmm... done some reading in my break time... Alchemist seams a much better fit for Li. Will you allow to take on this class when Li will meet its requirements?
Jul 22, 2024 3:58 pm
Sure. All you need is Alchemy at d6. I'll even let you shift around skills so you already qualify if you'd like. If you for example would like Alchemy instead of your Science skill.
Jul 23, 2024 1:20 pm
Great! But I think we will do it gradually in-fiction, Li will discover some talents and interests in Alchemy. And slowly gain some skill is in it(probably changing it from Science as you said, as I don't want to 'waste' so many advances to get it by itself, as that would mean Li staying to much behind others in terms of development - I think. Maybe Amiko or Lonjiku Kaijitsu have some knowledge about Alchemy?

We will see:)

But, maybe: Is there a way to gain Alchemy by in-fiction/game training, by i.e. paying for lessons? As not to 'waste' advancement for it?
Jul 23, 2024 1:55 pm
Not really. I don't think the system is set up to circumvent the advancement system like that. The advantage is that it's below your smarts, so you get two skill increases instead of one when you take the skill advancement.
Jul 23, 2024 2:17 pm
Ok, all clear:) So either I will have to rise/learn alchemy by advancements or I will help myself with this changing science to alchemy with this. Ok, let's see what will happen in-game first.

The picture I had in my mind when I read about Li was the Chinese character Detective Dee.
