Hmm, the rules should be read the other way around. The stun baton is a melee weapon, so it doesn't need reloading. The lengthy explanation for energy weapons and reloading comes under the rules for ranged weapons. There aren't any rules for melee weapons and charging/reloading them, so I'm going to say your stun baton still works fine.

BedzoneII says:

I would think so too, but it's not only in ranged weapons, which is what's making me doubt. D:
Page 24 under E-Packs and Ammunition just says "energy weapons and other items that require electricity", without specification that it's ranged energy weapons.
A stunt for Manufacture on page 61 lumps all energy weapons together, implying they need a generator.
Weapon rules on page 88 have "Energy Weapons require a power source to work. See the section about reloading (see page 86)." with no clarification about whether it's ranged or melee again.
And real world logic does technically mean they need a source of electricity.

I think it's a case of bad rule wording. XD So is it your executive decision that they don't require recharging? I'm good with it either way, just want to make sure.
BedzoneII says:
OOC:
Almost perfect understanding of the armor and damage rules! Halcyon's armor rating degrades by 3. Supposedly 1 damage to Network, but since your Network is already at 0 from previous damage, this 1 damage carries over to either Servos or Stability (not to Processor, since that's also already 0).
I see where I misunderstood, I thought all attributes had 6 health, so to speak, but it's only equal to the attribute score. Which means that I was actually miscalculating earlier when assigning damage.
Which... actually means that I have 4 floating points of damage which I put in Processor beyond its limit. Erm. That makes all the rolls since then invalid as either Servos or Stability should have taken it (and that would actually destroy my Servos too, so I shouldn't have been able to move).
Give me a moment to try to recount the damage since the Processor got destroyed.

Edit: disregard the strikedthrough part above, I forgot that the damage from the fight with Edina was half-retconned OOC. Fun (?) fact - if it wasn't, I'd be at a total of 11 damage and 3 away from deactivation. It's going great! XD

It's really fascinating watching the situation at the reactor unfold from my far away but not my much better going foray in Terrorwatt. XD Don't know if I'm welcome to comment there, but I'm cheering for you, guys!

Greetings fellow robots,

The meltdown has been averted, the mission (for now) is complete, and I think this will be a good moment for me to power down and step away from Mechatron. It’s been a fantastic ride, and I truly appreciate all the great storytelling, teamwork, and even the unexpected chaos we created together in Edina's Sanatorium!

I’ll be sticking around for the wrap-up, but after that, I’ll be moving on from this game, as well as some others I’ve been playing, when appropriate. I want to thank @BedzoneII for running such an interesting game and my fellow players for making every post a joy to read.

Wishing you all smooth circuits, functional servos, and as few malfunctions as possible!

Stay operational,
Sir / Htech

Aww, I was hoping Halcyon will get to meet Sir again. But it's understandable; maybe we'll meet in some other game! :3

(Do you still want that art of Sir? I did kinda get stuck at sketches, but I was planning to finish, just didn't get around to it yet. :D Perhaps you can reuse him somewhere! Or just for fun, haha.)

I sure do! :)

Htech, I totally enjoyed your characterisation of Sir, it was spot on how a coordination robot would be like in Mechatron. And some of your most developed posts gave me such insight into SIr (also loved the inside references). Thanks for playing two major chapters: the getting together at the sanatorium, and this first mission. Just so you know, since you're stepping away, one of the interesting things I had in store for Sir is for them to inherit a bit of code from QTE-005, just enough for Sir to think about whether humanity would come back (which would link to something much later).

Let's make sure this chapter wraps up nicely for you then with the end posts!

Hear, hear, I loved Sir's posts! :3 Especially for me as someone not familiar with the setting, they are a great insight into it! (And I do love a good inner conflict. >:D)

It was great having you, htech and I hope that if we get a chance to play together again that that game, also works as well as this game has been.

I'm still trying to figure out what this is going to do to Sid, what happens without Sir's lead? I really enjoyed playing a character that though he had his own struggles was able to easily follow orders especially as I was learning the system, now that Sid is completely on his own without following direct orders from Nodos or Sir I'm not sure what's going to happen to him.

Aw htech, I just got here!

Jokes aside, you brought a lot to the proverbial table. It sucks that you're leaving, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Take care, and I'm sure we will see you around.

I've rounded up the chapter with my closing post. Everyone 'levels up', including Sir even though htech is exiting. I thought it'd be neat to described all the outcomes and consequences. No XP this time, but something better.

Thanks again for your participation in this game htech, I enjoyed playing with you very much. Look forward to other games with you. (We're still both in Star Borg!)

This brings me to an awkward situation again. We down to two of our original players, Koldik and Flying, with solidly developed characters. I appreciate MaJunior joining us, and I realise you haven't had enough chance to really get a feel of what this game is trying to play through.

The adventure still has some chapters to go. One big area I will continue improve on is pacing and posting rate. But I do feel the pinch of having only two of the original players left, and I'm still convinced this game plays better with four players, maybe five. It's also a bit of a challenge to have two different threads because as Flying has said before, team play for this story is more interesting than solo play. I do have plans to have everyone meet very soon though.

So I'm contemplating various options. But I'll let everyone chime in first. Consider this my usual check in that I do after each chapter, to see if we're still game to move along.

Thank you, everyone! See you around.

Definitely Enjoying what's going on so far, I'm not where Sid's Journey should continue, without Sir I see a few possibilities but I guess it also really depends on how Sir exits.

1. Go Directly To NODOS:
This is a conclusion I could see Sid reaching at any point in Theory NODOS Is the bot with the most experience at anything approaching sentience and as of Yet Sid has no reason to mistrust NODOS

2. Leave Edina:
Sid trusts Sirs leadership if Sir is leaving, even if not going to the same place I could easily see Sid deciding that the only reason he trusted Edina was because Sir did.

3. Trying to take some sort of leadership position:
Sid isn't a leader, he's very much a follower however I could see Sid thinking that it's his "responsibility" to take Sir's place and make sure things run "smoothly.

4. Of course he could do something else, but these feel like 1, they could work depending on where we're going and 2, to some extent their probably bound to happen eventually so if the timing work out well, a massive shift feels like something that could easily happen right now.
