Kids on Bikes Second Edition.

It is the Spring of 1992. In New Jersey is a small town called Prudence.
It is surrounded by dense forests around the town and the scenic Lake Hubberd, popular for nature trails and freshwater fishing.

There will be horror themes. We'll of course use "roadsignals" ; the KoB2E wishes, lines, veils and x-card.

My first time GMing in GP.
Seeking 3-5 players.

A few days ago I got my Kids on Bikes 2E book from kickstarter and now I am eager to play.

Anyone wants to join in?

Theme
Think of a horror/mystery adventure set in (as I'd prefer) the 90s. In a small town (based on all classics, probably in the USA, but it could be anywhere).

You'd be playing kids in middle school age. You can pick a Trope or create on yourself.

Think Goonies, IT, ET, Stranger things.

There will be horror themes. We'll of course use "roadsignals" ; the KoB2E wishes, lines, veils and x-card.

Gameplay
It's collaborative storytelling, no DM deciding the world in D&D style. Player input will shape the town.

We'll build a town together based on a list of questions in session 0.

I recommend townbuilding before character building.

I will try to post daily, but it'd be great is everyone could post every other day.

Players
Everyone who'd like to play is welcome, but looking for max. 5 players.

New to KoB? No problem. I will post up the rules.

Do you know KoB 1E? 2E is only slightly different (1.1 really).

I'd be my first time GMing on GP.

Would love to play this.
I'm on a Kids on Bikes revival, in books. Just finished A Boy's Life by McCammon and in the middle of re-reading It by King.

I never played this specific system, but I GMd a similar setting in SWADE, called Monster Hunter's Club.

Anyone else, hopefully? :)

I'd be interested. I have the first-edition rules, but I've never really played it.

I think I might have generated a character for a game that never happened.

Weekends can be a bit slow. Give it a bit of time over the weekdays. KoB is usually a pretty popular genre!

Oh, I can 100% vouch for Dr_B's MHC game. It was A LOT of fun!

I'd love to give it a shot. Never actually played the game, but I like the premise.

aw, thank you! We had a lot of fun in that story arc. One day we'll pick it up and tell the story of post-Octagon Gulf Haven...

I see that at least 3 people are interested with 2 familiar faces.

I'll set up a game (might take a day or two to get it up) and send invites.

Still have spots open!

I'd jump in if you'd have me. I've wanted to try the Kids On... games, and the Tales From the Loop game I played here a couple years ago only left me wanting more.

Send you an invite :)

I'd be interested if you're still looking for players. I've never played Kids on Bikes before though, but I can grab the rules and catch up - I have played Tales from the Loop which I guess is similar theme wise at least...
I am in the UK which may affect my post-times and every time I play a game set in the US I seem to get surprised by some weird cultural difference...

Inviting you in. Then we are filled up for now. :)

If another spot opens up for some reason, I'll take it if that's alright with you.

Ok, I'll inform you if one does
