Stinger, not knowing what is happening outside the bridge, tries again to open the door.

MEET AT THE BRIDGE Blairs over the PA system as Alandra tries the hatch. She curses and looks down the long curved corridor in direction of engineering.

"No guarantee that engineering isn't quarantined as well.", she mutters. Looking at her shock staff she grasps it.

Then she starts to beat out a message in what she hopes is Morse code on the bridge door.

She taps, DOCTOR, HERE TO HELP or at least she thinks she does.
OOC:
I think it would be fun if Alandra is tapping on the door at the exact same time Stinger is unlocking the door.

Stinger opens the door just as Alandra begins tapping and you stare at each other a moment. Vague recollections go through your minds but another headaches distracts you from any solid details.
OOC:
As you gather and meet for the first time can each player post a short description of their character. Include their role and a few details that the others could have learned as you met before launching the ship and might recall through the memory loss from interactions on the ship.

Avro's intro
Blackness in the middle of stillness is interrupted by a flash of consciousness. Unfortunately consciousness to not ensure enlightenment and chaos if what surges to the surface as you struggle to get a grip on your situation.

Avro comes online and forms from your core. Looking around you are in a small room, probably a closet from the looks of it, and your form glitches as waves of unaligned data is flushed from your core. You have no memory of this room and have no idea how you got here. Thinking back the last clear data point is spotting a ship that looked perfect for your next jaunt. You slipped onboard and then . . . . it all goes fuzzy.

The lights are dim and a quick check reveals the computer will not respond to your voice commands. Moving to the door you are forced to find a manual release to force it open. Outside is what looks to be a bedroom. There is a large pod to one side of the room, bracketed by a couple small dressers or cabinets, as well as two other doors.

Clarification, by Notes do you mean DM or am I missing a tool or thread called Notes?

Avro looks around the room looking for anything familiar. Why are my memories all fuzzy? Looking for a ship display, Avro tries to determine the the current date an time. That can't be right! Doing a rough calculation. I've been on board for about six weeks.

Avro turns their attention to the large pod and looks though the viewing port...

Rolls

Roll Eidetic Memory to recognize the room and contents of the pod - (2d6)

(23) = 5

The big gap in your memory persists and is very disconcerting. You find a data pad on the wall over one of the cabinets and walking over take note of the time, then stop in shock.
Date&Time(Odyssey): 16:30 @ 2236-10-03
You are missing more than a month of time from all memory. As you try to recall things you get flashes that shift and are accompanies by an intense level of pain forcing you to cease your recollections, for now.

Looking down into the pod, an advanced medical pod that looks to have independent systems for life support, cryostasis, and even auto doctor features included. Inside you see a man.

According to the pods reading he is in cryostasis and suffering from an infection of some kind.

Avro is completely dumbfounded with how much time has passed. Ok, leave the med pod alone, maybe I'm suffering from the same infection. Avro turns their attention to the rest of the room, taking a little comfort in hearing their own voice. Maybe there are clues in the dresser or cabinet.Avro searches any unlocked spaces, then circles back to the anything that was locked and attempts to bypass the security.

As you move around the room the lights have slowly increased in illumination allowing you to see personal decorations, including artwork and what looks like family photos. Looking through the cabinets, both of which are unlocked, reveals them to be standard issue storage furniture with 2 small and 1 larger drawer each. In the first you find miscellaneous personal items such as a wristwatch, a journal, and a small lockbox containing currencies and other small items of value such as gold and gemstones. In the second you find a personal data pad, glasses, and a bottle of prescription medication.

Avro tries to remember the layout of the ship he stowed away on. Pointing to the door nearest the closet he just got out of. That should be the private washroom. So that one (pointing to the other door) should be the hallway. Avro moves to that door and looks at the nearby door pad. When the door fails to open automatically they depress the button that is most likely the override. If that doesn't work, time to pop the panel and try to hotwire the door.

attempt to hot wire the door override - (2D6)

The door opens easily to a large room for relaxation or greeting guests. There is another door on the far wall and two others, one to either side, that are currently sealed by heavy blast doors. The rooms has a seating area with a couple chairs, couch, and holo table. The walls are decorated with start charts, art and pictures of astral phenomenon and photos of people. There is also a dining table with a small kitchenette and several cupboards.

The disorientation from the memory loss is worse than Avro suspected. Nothing seems to be in place. Either that or they weren't active when they were brought into this suite of personal quarters. Judging by the size of it, it must have belonged to the Captain. Avro seeks out the nearest data panel and tries to call up the ship layout schematics.

Rolls

access ship layout schematics - (2D6)

(15) = 6

Jul 3, 2024 12:55 pm
You easily find the basic schematic and lean you are indeed in the captains quarters of the ship. However the terminal informs you that "Isolation" protocols are in effect and the captains quarters have been sealed and cut off from the rest of the ship.
OOC:
The ship map is in the "TSO : Odyssey" sheet in the "Ship Design" spoiler. You can view the Odyssey info sheet by clicking its character button at the bottom of the page below the Rolls section

I am getting an error message for the ship layout. Not critical at this point.https://i.imgur.com/sQapbHv.png

Avro, looks over the schematics and get a better orientation of the captains quarters and where it is in the over all ship. Continuing to work with the data pad, they try to access the communications ports. Avro attempts a boradcast: Odyssey, any active crew, please respond...Avro repeats this message three times then waits a few minutes for a response.

Rolls

if needed: activate ship wide broadcast via Coms panel. - (2D6)

(51) = 6

OOC:
The link goes to tableplop where you need an account and I added an invite link next to the map link. I use the map and we may use it later if the ship gets boarded but for now the images on the sheet are good enough for most things. You are currently on the upper deck room 0 "Captains suite".
The Isolation protocols have entirely broken all physical and electronic connections to the rest of the ship. You will have to find a way to disable the protocol or circumvent individual issues. From what you can see the blast doors are locked and the mechanisms disabled while the physical network and power wires have been disconnected and wireless systems within the captains suite disabled.

OOC:
Got it now!
Avro looks around to find a solid metal object. They start tapping out an morse code S.O.S on the blast doors. Avro does three sets, then takes a 3 minute break to see if they can figure out an override for the protocol. They continue this pattern for the next 30 minutes or so.

Rolls

override the system between S.O.S. - (2D6)

(64) = 10

Jul 3, 2024 7:07 pm
Though Avro manages to access portions of the system and electronic controls it proves too complex for minor tinkering to breach.
Jul 4, 2024 9:10 pm
Assuming Avro hears the tapped out message of "soon", they move back away from the door to wait patiently at one of the chairs.
