soises says:
Motivated by her success with the first demon, Sherry wastes no time and comes for the second one. Nodding at Leif as they position themselves around the remaining summoned creature, she goes low and hacks at its feet."Stop giggling and return to your buddies down there!

Now! - would be excellent."
OOC:
move: so that we flank
Action&Bonus: Attack
-10 feet ofmovement because of the slasher feat

Crit again! The Amaranthine are with us! XD 19dmg total.

Slasher> When you score a critical hit that deals slashing damage to a creature, you grievously wound it. Until the start of your next turn, the target has disadvantage on all attack rolls.
Unfortunately....your turn this round was already done.

The demon misses it's strikes on Sherry after standing from prone. Then you see Susan blasting the demon with her magic but misses horribly
OOC:
edit: lol messed up the name of that one roll. fixing with the same results

@soises How about that turn rolls count....IF you take disadvantage on the Con save for the Foul Odor

(11) - 1 = 10

Leif tuned out the others and focused solely on his attacks, hoping to take down the demon before more of them fell to its noxious odor.
OOC:
Mentioned in the last post that Leif was going to the bottom right corner to flank it. If not allowed, then disregard the Advantage rolls and just use the first die.

Rolls

Sickle (Main) (advantage) - Attack - (2d20H1+5)

(1310) + 5 = 18

Sickle (Offhand) (advantage) - Attack - (2d20H1+5)

(29) + 5 = 14

Sickle (Main) - Damage - (1d4+1d6+3)

(2) + (5) + 3 = 10

Sickle (Offhand) - Damage - (1d4+1d6)

(3) + (1) = 4

OOC:
so the demon is in a place where you cant get flanking unless both you and Someone else move. We can flip sides but still. Last turn he was prone so advantage would have been still there

So that it is a straight roll in the end, because of my racial feature?

With Sherry's viscious blows and a critical hit the last Demon is slain.

You can see Susan, breathing heavily in the corner. The spirits are getting stronger....I have done this ritual before but never have they been able to break my seals...please this must mean the elements are truly here. She then trails off as she sits there, her beetle friend sitting in front of her like a puppy worried about it's owner.
Jul 17, 2024 12:35 am
Leif caught his breath once the last demon fell. "What does... what does that mean, that the elements are truly here?"
Jul 17, 2024 5:59 am
Somehow out of breath the mapach girl needs a few moments to slow her racing heart. DEMONS! They fought DEMONS! Nobody would believe her.

But that's hardly new, she admits to herself. So Sherry takes care of her blades to collect herself before turning with a broad grin to the others. "That was unexpected." and adds with a naughty grin: "We should open the windows for a bit."
Jul 17, 2024 8:26 pm
The Wood is an ancient place...rich and lush with life but the connection it has to those forces beyond this world is clear...fire will consume us.
Jul 17, 2024 10:03 pm
Leif looked at his companions, side to side. "So, um. That was kind of the assumption already... do you know of a way to stop it?"
Jul 17, 2024 10:13 pm
This knowledge is beyond that of me...but there are those that know...perhaps....hmmm...yes....knowledge is power

You can see Susan going into a deep thought between breathes.

But thank you, thank you. You have been helpful today.
Jul 17, 2024 10:29 pm
I am no scholar or woodsmen but even I know that fire is a natural part of the cycle for most forrests. For myself the fear of the flames stems from the heat persisting in the scrtchd grove instead of allowing the trees to regrow. Is there anything you can tell us about why it continues to simmer and cause things to burn?
Jul 17, 2024 10:32 pm
The Grove itself is not of this plane...the fires are not natural yet are one with the essence of nature...why it is here we do not know but if the fires are getting brighter...something is coming...something is here
Jul 18, 2024 1:25 am
She looks to the woman and says, "Conjuring was clearly not the answer though. Have you considered Divination. That would possibly give us all a better answer as to what is coming and what might be here."
Jul 18, 2024 4:24 pm
Yes...yes...divination...next time just eat those mushrooms that grow in the bog...yes. She mutters in and out of a mumble that isn't easily understood.

Well, again thank you, but what can I do for you now?

Her mood shifts a little staring at the group, suddenly aware that she doesn't really know them.
Jul 19, 2024 4:19 am
Leif still looked at the mapach with uncertainty. "The townsfolk are scared of you, clearly they're just ignorant folks who misunderstand you." Leif was certain that if he said it enough times, he'd actually believe his own words. "Be mindful not to summon any more demons, if they break out again, they could endanger everyone."
Jul 19, 2024 8:32 am
Finding herself thinking along the lines of Leif, Sherry projects an unsure smile and offers: "Maybe go slow on the mushrooms and keep low for a month or two. Tempers are high at the moment in town."

Leaving the hedge' stinking hut, the banisher of demons checks herself for wounds and takes a big draught from her waterskin, before handing it to the others.

"This went ... better than expected? " she jests with a twinkle in her eye.

"To new adventures - now?"
