QuietPanther says:
... Edinburgh in the UK is getting 6.5 hrs of night ...
I was not being precise, about 6 hours may have been a bit short, but we don't need to worry about these details and your characters don't know the exact hours. So about an hour and a bit each should cover it. :)
QuietPanther says:
... I think it would be much more interesting to skip ahead to whatever ‘reasons’ you have for influencing the watch order. ...
Will do.

Can we read both threads?
Maybe it ruins the fun 😁

Yes, of course. Please do. Don't (overtly) act on them, though.

The Shadow Carnevale thread is already fractured and contains things others in the thread should not act upon. I merely split them because they are 'different locations'.

Holy moly! A lot happened while I slept!

Uh, so... I guess I need to make two posts. One to respond to Roald and another to respond to Theo....

Whoops, sorry. I missed that you had not yet said you wanted to move on.

Yes. Deal with your conversation with Roald in as much detail as you want before they all go to bed. We can come back to Theo whenever it is convenient, he can wait.

Okay. I posted a response to Roald. Lemme know, @Airshark, if you want to continue that conversation or if I should jump ahead to the nighttime. I'm down with either.

No need to continue

Hey, sweet dreamers! I was just curious if you could tell me your character's greatest fear, or at least an image that would represent that fear well....

...for no particular reason... 👀

(This would include Daryl, as well....)

Oh, and also something that your character finds soothing, if you don't mind....

Albert likes the sounds and smells of a bustling tavern. It calms him down.
He has been trying to find his lost aunt Mertle, so if you could work that in as a fear that could work.
Check out this post.

Daryl is a brave knight, the armour proves it! If pressed he would think his greatest fear is to fall short of that ideal, but, what he can not even admit to himself, is that what he really fears is that such failure would leave him alone, that his friends would not accept him if he can not prove himself worthy.

A fear of being alone and abandoned? At a time while he and everybody else seems to be alone at a strange carnival? Seems like a recipe alright. :) (Pity we don't have a player to show us his point of view:)

Roald fears himself. More precisely the man he becomes after a few drinks. It got him in loads of trouble.

What he finds soothing is sitting around a campfire in a safe place. Those moments have been rare since he went on his adventure.

After checking their companions prostate one by one, she rises to face Theo, working hard to mask her growing concern.

Is what I read the first time...🤦 If that doesn't wake them up, nothing will I guess :-D:-D:-D

Thames smoke enema

When I say 'work' I mean someone once told a tale to explain what they were doing to a corpse and the story stuck?

I think I heard about this in a QI episode once.

Thanks for the additional character info. Hopefully I'll get to put at least some of that to good use....
