OOC:
By Lotus you mean Zean or Tinks?

OOC:
upss. I mean Zean who was leading. Fixed above.

Zean nods his head on Vatoris explanation apparently agreeing with it.
"So let's do some sight seeing in this pocket dimension as you called it."

Zean makes 2 more steps... and then turns around to wait for Thorgin and Tinks (and Ixion?) to pass the supposed portal. Seeing that he is backed by the rest of his friends he continues his walk - still being very cautious - until he will be positioned 'correctly' and looks around: what has changed? Do he see new chambers, rooms?

While up there (35 feet above entrance to this curved corridor you only see the corridor and the entrance ( for you at the moment it is right above your head). It looks exactly the same.
Jul 25, 2024 11:51 am
When you reach the entrance you can see exactly the same view around. The same you saw when start walking.
Vatoris is not so sure any more this is an another plane. Even if it is a mirror plane it may probably be upside down world... be careful. artificer has lost the last of his confidence.
OOC:
You stand in rhe two corridor intersection. Missing body is the only feature change. Otherwise it would feel like you simply walked the cyrve and returned back where started

"Weh... Not new things?" - Zean sighted disappointed - "Strange. But let's get sure. S o m e t h i n g had to change." - with those words Zean started to walk - making small steps - towards what apparently looked like the same tomb then before. But with each step he used his maul handle as blind person would to check his way before them. Pocking on the ground, walls and before him.

If any of his companions would have asking eyes - seeing what he is doing - he would say witha note of indignation in his voice:
"WHAT!? If this bad guy can make portals to different planes, he can hid enormous chasm before us with some illusion or something like that. Don't he?"

"It seems like anything is possible here. From what the plaque said, perhaps the tomb here is not the same as the tomb where there's a corpse in the ring."

I think Tink has the right idea... Throgin looks up the different passageways in the apparent loop.

We haven't looked at the tomb from the other side, if we check this one and don't find anything we might need to investigate the other side first to figure out what we are looking for

I will leave the ring and fly into the tomb for a look around, being careful as usual not to touch anything.

OOC:
What does everyone else do as Tinkara fly into the tomb? And Zean walks in there crasing the air...
Tinkara observe the Tomb as described in the first post in this thread:

This room smells of wine. On a checkerboard marble floor, a gilded coffin sparkles in sunlight streaming down from the chamber's vaulted ceiling, which arches twelve feet overhead. Four huge stone gargoyle heads, their mouths agape, protrude from the walls.
Jul 26, 2024 9:16 am
Interesting. Can I determine if there's a source to the smell? Is this tomb in any way different from the one on the "other side" of the ring?
Jul 27, 2024 10:54 am
Tinkara is unable to see any difference with the tomb on the "other side". Neither can she find a source of the smell - looks like whole room is filled with the smell.

Just before entering the tomb Zean smashes his maul into the ceiling to realize it's a solid stone block (i.e. 5x5 feet taking whole width of the ceiling).
GreyWord sent a note to Pedrop
Vatoris follow you and informs about aura of abjuration around the coffin, while sunlight seems to be generated by an illusion magic.
Jul 27, 2024 11:56 am
I will examine the gargoyle heads more closely. Specifically looking at those "gaping mouths". Maneuvering my light around, can I see if there's a bottom? Anything in them?
Jul 27, 2024 2:33 pm
Throgin approaches with Zean. Snickering at his friends "carefulness "
Jul 27, 2024 2:52 pm
Mouths are big. As Tinkara is looking into the mouths it appears they could have swallowed her with sn ease if not just a stone sculptures. Still nothing worth mentioning in any of the mouths.

Now looking at the coffin. How does it open?

"At least we know it's real, Zean," Ixion said after the roof was suitably dented. "I know Vatoris said this most likely isn't the past but do any of you remember a maul-shaped hole in the ceiling in our world?"
Jul 28, 2024 7:53 am
OOC:
@annex could you help me understand what are you referring to with "a maul-shaped hole in the ceiling". I don't recognize narrating any hole.
If you refer to " Zean smashes his maul into the ceiling to realize it's a solid stone block " - that smashing made no visible damage to the huge stone block. If anything it would be the maul to break, not a solid stone.
[ +- ] Stone coffin
For simplicity let's say any stone coffin can be opened by two characters combined effort (no roll required). You would stone lid off the coffin unless it is locked in any way - but you would only learn about it once two PCs try to take the lid off
Jul 28, 2024 11:56 am
"Well. I don't think there's really anything to do but open it. We've found that the ring does indeed lead to another tomb. The plaque also said "the dead abhor sunlight", so I'd think that's a reference to the sunlight on the coffin here. The rest doesn't seem to apply to this area. I'm for opening up the coffin and seeing what happens. Anyone else have thoughts?"
