So, despite what seems like the larger threat of walkers all around, Billie grits her teeth, takes aim at where she saw the shotgun flash -- and fires! And fires, and fires, intent on putting the fucker down!
Edit: Forgot to add +2 for the Pistol!

If BF needs two successes to hit the bozo, I'll push.
Sheesh. If one success needed, hit him for Pistol Damage of 2. If two successes required, MISS!

This time, the walkers will also be attacking you! It’s the contested roll we did in the forest! You need enough successes to keep them off you!
You can fight the guy, but the zombies will get an attack on you at the end of the round. It’s… tough.
Billie Faye has already shot at the guy and missed!
Owen and Shayna are up! What’s your action?
The forest is alive with rustling bushes and walker snarls! Owen, Shayna and Billie-Faye all feel them out there! They are seconds away!
Billie-Faye closes her mind to the undead menace for a moment, intent on getting justice for Richard, her… her something. She fires, but with all the noise, she couldn’t say for sure if she hit the bastard that got Richard or not!

think... Think... The shotgun guy attracted the zeds firing at us... But the zeds will want to get at him too.
Hopefully they'll chew on the fucker. We need to stop the zeds first!
With that, he grabs the machete, wincing at his burnt hand but tightening the hilt all the same.
He sees the closest walkers and charges, trying to hack at their heads.

The Man Outside

Owen cuts a bloody swathe through the walkers! He swings, and swings, and swings until the burn on his hand is the least of his worries. His arm aches but it isn’t enough! They keep coming!
One walker lunges out of the night, and gets his hands on Owen’s shoulders! The young man has time enough to get his machete up between its jaws and Owen’s face! It’s a deadly fight to survive the night!

Owen tries to desperately disengage and move away from the foul thing trying to chew on him!
come on! You're faster than this thing!

Owen rushes on, fixated on the walker giving chase! Too late does he realize that others have closed in around him also! Hands grasping and teeth gnashing from all around, pushing between dark trees to get at the young man and his machete.
Shayna fights and fights and fights! By now, the group is totally fractured! It would be almost impossible to find your way back together over all the noise in the night! Shayna steps back, and back fending the things off with her spear! She catches one of them through the head, but his fall yanks the spear from her hands, and then they are on her!
I need 2d6 from Owen and 2d6 from Shayna! This is a Walker Attack!

She hammers at them until she feels something break, or almost break. Panting, she sees bodies strewn about her, and a throbbing pain running up the length of her arm. The pain is too much; blossoming from her head and her limbs. She staggers, and blacks out against a tree trunk!
Shayna is broken. She will come back around in a while, if no one administers first aid. Until then, she’ll be at the mercy of any attacks against her…
His ribs ache, and his hand throbs! The thing has no such air to lose and so keeps up his frenzied attack, trying to bite the young man’s throat out! Somehow… somehow, Owen ruins the things brain as they wrestle on the forest floor! It slumps down onto him, and his ribs blossom with pain again! It’s hard to catch his breath as the thing lays dead on him!
Owen has 2 damage, and 5 stress! The five stress shouldn’t factor into things here, provided Owen doesn’t try to use his drive on a roll!
You can’t say for sure what happened to the guy! He could still be a threat. He could be shot dead. He could be gone!
You can act against him on your turn if you so wish! Or you can fight the walkers, or administer first aid to Shayna!
If you act against the walkers, you’ll get 1 success from last round, and the threat has been reduced by 2 due to them attacking you already!
So you’ll only need three successes. Shayna and Richard are down and out right now! Three successes between Billie Faye and Owen, if you choose to fight walkers. One of you will roll twice! The second roll will be at -2!
(One of you could roll three times, and that lets the other try help Shayna! -4 to the third roll!)
Messing up, even if you succeed in beating the walkers, will result in final single walker attacks.
"Fight, Owen! Fight!" she shouts as she swings her fire axe this way and that, trying to chop down as many of the slow-moving bastards as she can. "Come on!"
