Saldrina listens with interest, but does not speak for a long moment. When she does speak, it is in a quiet voice. "We should seek out Ameiko first, I think. Based on what Sheriff Hemlock says, she may be more open to reason than her father."

You say your goodbyes to the sheriff and make your way back to the Rusty Dragon when a young redheaded woman stops you. Some of you recognize her as Shayliss Vinder, the shopkeeper's daughter.

"Hello there Grim," she says. "Heard from my sister that you have been asking about me."

"Do you have time to... help me with a rat problem?"

"I believe maybe that's why she only asked for Grim's help. I think that great big maul would be overkill though. You'd have quite the messy cellar to clean up afterwards. Is there not a ratcatcher in Sandpoint? We use cats at the House of Blue Stones to handle that problem. Have you thought about pet adoption?" Chakra barks. "No, Chakra, you cannot do it. I don't want you catching anything from those diseased animals."

Li bends a little towards Chigaru to pretend he will whisper to him, but says following words only loud enough so all gathered could hear him:
"Master Chigaru... I'm still learning local customs... but maybe it is some kind of courtesy or code... and the Lady wants only Grim to help her? What's your opinion on that?"

Then he makes a fast glance at Grim with smiling eyes, waiting for his answer or comment.

Chigaru leans a little closer and gives a low grumbling that would be a whisper to anyone less than the massive half-orc. "While I may have been sheltered these last few years, I am not that naive. But unless I am mistaken that is Vinder's daughter and she has not yet come of age, if I recall. I wouldn't want Grim put in any...uncomfortable circumstances."

Unaware of what the rest of the group was saying, his focus solely on Shayliss after she walks up to them. The halfling's gruffish demeanor recedes, his cheeks blush mildly, and he stutters out, "Oh, hi Shayliss."

At mention of the rat problem, he turns back to the group, "Ahem, I've got this, a nest of them probably got into old man Vinder's basement. Shall take but a minute."

Turning back to the girl "Lead the way Shayliss."

If I'm not mistaken, isn't she the older sister? If she is a minor though, I'm noping the heck out.

Both sisters are of age. In fact you know there is rumors about her sister and the miller's son. In fact Ven Vinder uses more time trying to stop his daughter's indescretions than to run the business lately.

Grim and Shayliss make their way through the streets to the shop. It is closed, as expected considering yesterday's events.

She unlocks the door. Then makes her way down to the cellar. "Thanks for coming."

The rest of you make your way back to the Rusty Dragon. You see Ameiko behind the bar, wiping the counter. She smiles at you enter. "Did you help Father Zantus?"

"Of course, happy to knock a few rats about the head, same as those goblins. I'm glad you and your family were not harmed in the raid. How are they handling the aftermath?" the halfling responds as he heads down into the cellar.
