"You know what they say, 'it's not the fall.'" Wess says, following Grimwulf's gaze

Khel eyed the precarious ruins at the cliff edge. He peeked at the cliff edge and quickly walked back. He was indeed not fond of heights. He then turned towards the tower and looked at all the structures scrutinizingly.

Chigaru can't help but be impressed by the sight. And the site.

Saldrina looks at the light with trepidation. She wasn't afraid of heights, per say, but she wasn't exactly thrilled by them either.

You spend the better part of an hour looking around. You see no signs that anyone have been here the last few days, and at least not in force. Neither can you find any secret entrances or basement access.
Oct 30, 2024 5:40 pm
Seeing no promising signs of anything, Grim exclaims "Well that was a letdown. Looks like a dead end here, to the Glassworks?"
Oct 30, 2024 5:46 pm
"Agreed," Saldrina says, more than a little relieved to be leaving the cliffs.
Oct 30, 2024 7:35 pm
"Well Master Quink, did we miss anything? We don't really have time for sightseeing. You're welcome to stay and explore, but we have t move on." Wess says
Oct 30, 2024 9:05 pm
"Yes, Master Quink... as you can see we are helpless here... what did you meant by the hypothesis that there could be some entrance in the lighthouse? Any idea if there is still any hope for finding the entrance here? Or we should move on? And maybe look for some other entrance to underground tunnels network? Hopefully some of them could be connected to the ruins complex." - Li asked a little disappointed.

Chigaru gives a gruff chuckle. "Too bad we didn't split up to use our time more efficiently like I suggested, eh?" Chakra yips in agreement and pees next to the base of the ruined lighthouse.

Brodert Quink

Brodert Quink
"If it had been an obvious entrance I would have found it many years ago," Brodert Quink says defensively. "What I have been wanting to do is bring in people from Magnimar to excavate to find the truth of the matter."
Nov 1, 2024 11:50 am
Khel listened to Brodert Quink and nodded empathetically. "You are right Master Quink. We are dealing with ancient ruins of Thassilon. We have to approach this from a historical perspective. It won't be here standing out on the open. We have to see what lies underneath." He retraced his path back and looked at the walls of the structure trying to make an educated guess about how the structure will look like. He also scanned the wall to find out any notable writings that can indicate something. Finally he walked back to see the structure from a distance trying to find out if there is any place where a entry passage can be located. He also tried to find a probable safe place with a moderate weak wall for the structure to break into.

OOC:
Just so you know, a proper excavation will be a project that will take several months. You are pretty sure no one has been here in force so it probably won't solve any of the problems with goblins or potential kidnapping.
Nov 3, 2024 12:52 pm
OOC:
Well, in that case we need to go to the glassworks or the beach. I will roleplay Khel that it doesn't seem like they can make any progress quickly so they will go for the other entry routes.
Nov 3, 2024 1:36 pm
Finished relieving himself, Chigaru turns to the others. "If the Kaijutsu son is behind this, his father's glassworks is the logical place to begin. It is one extraordinary coincidence or else an exploited advantage." Chigaru walks past everyone back to town, heading towards the glassworks.
Nov 3, 2024 8:39 pm
Saldrina mulls it over for a few moments before going off after Chigaru. She hurries to catch up with the half-orc, taking two strides for each of his.
Nov 4, 2024 12:04 am
As the two head off, "I'll take that as a yes." Grim retorts, and heads up to join them, needing one and a half steps for every two of Chigaru's.

You make your way to the glassworks, a befuddled Brodert Quink still trailing behind you. You see the glasswork is still active from the smoke coming from the furnace. Not common at this time of day, but nothing you would find unusual. It wouldn't be strange for Lonjiku to keep the workers working overtime to make up for two days of inactivity.

Though coming closer you see all the windows have the curtains blocking the view inside and all three entrances (main entrance to show room, the back entrance meant for the workforce and the loading room) seems to be locked.

Anyone listening to the doors or windows may give me a notice roll at -2 due to the rumble of the furnace.
Nov 4, 2024 1:36 pm
Something seems suspicious to Chigaru. What kind of glassworks has all the curtains drawn, hiding their wares from view? Chigaru presses an ear up to a window.
