Wess takes a moment and inspects the statue more closely to see if there is anything significant or secret about it. "It's a bit creepy, but I can't deny that the craftsmanship is superb"

Chigaru looks at the statue and becomes uncomfortable. If this representation is accurate, he felt bad for whoever the subject was. No person should have to feel that much rage. The heart wasn't meant for hate.

Khel followed others through the tunnel until he reached the statue, which surprised him. Was this an underground structure meticulously crafted for a purpose? He eyed the statue, noticing all the details while trying to remember anything from his studies about Thassilon.

Khel do in fact remember having read about Thassilon in his past, and can recall reading about a runelord (what the leaders of Thassilon called themselves) called Alaznist. As she has been gone for almost 10,000 years, no one can be sure of exactly what she looked like, although statues that have been found depict her as a beautiful, yet enraged human woman with long hair, flowing robes, and wielding a ranseur. This may however be the best preserved statue to ever be found. It is a historic find and one that you are sure Brodert Quink will be overjoyed with should you bring him down here.

Wess narrows his eyes as he looks at the ranseur and says "It's a fine statue alright, and an even finer weapon. But let's leave it for the bookworm to explore further." The he heads north to see of the door is unlocked.

As Khel remembered the history, his eyes shot up in excitement. "My goodness, this is the most authentic representation of Runelord Alaznist. This is infact several thousand years old and a masterpiece. Is this an underground site of the Thassilon civilization? Just underneath the town of Sandpoint? Fascinating! I must make a sketch of this and try to recover this statue later."

Chigaru peers down the hallway and can tell it opens into a room some 60 or so feet. Just then Wess opens the door to what looks like it was once a prison, as testified by the twenty cells that line its perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs descending to the prison floor ten feet below. A two-yard-wide wooden walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east.
Several of the disgusting creatures are scattered around the room, they all hiss as the door opens.

Khel heard Wess giving the information as he peeked from the side of Li's shoulder and strained his neck to see the creatures. He spotted one on the top of the wooden platform and said, "Damn! More of those blasted creatures?" He moved inside the room and pointed his staff towards the creature on top of the platform, sending a firebolt streaming towards it.
