Fixed the post. I believe this works primarily because you occupy the "3x3 space" and the circle is just the abstraction of you in that entire space

Quick Marceen leaps out of her hiding spot and advances quickly on the beautiful Dryad. She is well aware the Dryad will no doubt spot her action as she has no way to hide her approach. She places the Dryad between her and the Automidon. She uses the bit of tree'age to her advantage.

She attacks the Dryad with hope to distract her and give the party time. She drives her rapier into her letting her well know she is there and hostile.

Marceen moved 3 squares to the east and one to the north. Hit the Dryad with a 15 doing 7 damage. Extra 9 points of sneak damage. Swarm of Beetles is also a distraction.

Umr let the tentacles disperse, rushed under and past the Automidon, and whispered two words at the dryad's brain, "Mind rot!"

A sliver of psionic energy sank into the dryad's psyche as Umr whistled a discordant melody at her.
OOC:
No longer concentrating on Hunger of Hadar.
Move: 4 squares diagonally north-east.
Action: Mind Sliver on the dryad which must make a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or take 5 psychic damage and subtract 3 from the next saving throw it makes before the end of my next turn.
Free Action: Metamagic Quicken Spell on Dissonant Whispers.
Bonus Action: Casting Dissonant Whispers on the dryad who must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 15 psychic damage and must immediately use its reaction, if available, to move as far as its speed allows away from Umr. The creature doesn’t move into obviously dangerous ground, such as a fire or a pit. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and doesn’t have to move away. A deafened creature automatically succeeds on the save.

the mega attack has a recharge. How does that work with 2 pilots? I assume we share the recharge, or is there one for each of us?

Yes. Recharge is shared. And recharge roll is once per round, so I will attempt the recharge here and if it isn't hit Breg will need a new attack

edit: recharge is good. Are you getting all the way to being able to hit the Beetles and the Automidon or only the Automidon?

The beetles and the Automidon take the full force of the blast by Breg. The beetles disintegrated and the beetle attached to the Automidon's head gets blasted off of it and the Automidon falls down...prone and inactive.
