Well, good/bad news.
Good: Went to the hotel and made it home safe.
Bad: Found a weird mask.
Remember the reusable covid masks that you swapped out the filter inside, but they velcroed on to stay really secure and not fall off? Found one of those... but it had a ball or plug stitched inside.

I can't decide if it's a BDSM type thing, or like... a missing person thing? I couldn't help but think it'd be a good way to keep your kidnap victim quiet. Can't yell for help with a gag in your mouth, but walking around with someone who has a sock stuffed in their mouth would draw attention.

I glanced at it while I was asking about prices, but nobody uses their real name at a place like that. There were like 11 John Smiths, and another 8 Mike Johnsons. Considering the clerk was willing to rent me -- a minor -- a room if I paid a "discretionary fee," I have zero doubt homeboy doesn't take IDs.
