New to here and play by post!

Hi all,
You can call me SHM or SHMKehoe, I'm a forever DM hoping to get the chance to play and DM here!

I've played a lot of 5e, which is my preferred system, but I've also dabbled in some Genesys Starwars roleplaying and looked into both Call of Cthulhu and the Dark Heresy 40k systems (but not played either).

I began as a 5e player for <10 sessions before our DM bowed out and I took the mantle of 'Forever DM' - That was eight years ago!

I've started several campaigns since then, a homebrew campaign that veered into Curse of Strahd, then a Lost Mines of Phandelver mixed with Dragon of Icespire Peak campaign, then Waterdeep Dragon Heist and most recently a one-shot-turned-ongoing-campaign that was going through modified adventures from Keys from the Golden Vault and Candlekeep Mysteries.

I've run famous one-shots like the Wild Sheep Chase and the I.S.T.A.R. Facility.

So yeah, I'm up for playing and once I get a handle on play-by-post I'll probably try DMing as well!

To join a game, keep your eyes on the Games Tavern, where GMs advertise their games and look for players.

Lots of Forever DMs come here to actually get to play... 5E is fairly popular on GP and games open up on a regular basis. Either that or open recruitment to replace members.

CoC is another system that sees play a lot. Shouldn't be too hard for you to find a game, I hope!

The (formerly-)FFG Star Wars RPG and Genesys both used to be fairly popular here too, but have seen a decline since, I think, it transferred to Edge where they havent received much further development.
