My character doesn't appear in the list, nor does the name show above my text box in adventure thread. Am I doing it wrong?

You'll need to submit your character for GM approval first. You can do so by clicking the game details on bottom right, then scrolling down to where the submit option sits.

Ok, thanks. I believe I already submitted the character. Then, I'm just being impatient. Also, still learning to navigate the site. Seems to have it's own personality.

Thanks! I've had Talespire sitting in my Steam library for a while now, never quite knowing what to do with it. It's a bit labour-intensive (and costly - you need one licence per person) for live online play. But I think it could work quite nicely for nicely as a quick visual aid for play-by-post.

I didn't realize that was Talespire, I thought that was a real picture! I've had my eye on Talespire a while, I might have to pick it up now, if only just to toy with it.

That worked out very nicely for you with the cephalopods. With their 5 attacks each I was a bit worried you might be heading for a TPK, but fortune favours the bold!

We got pretty lucky with that morale roll! It seems like pretty much everything here can kill us, can't be timid forever lol.

We were also lucky that the two cephalopod attacks didn’t outright knock out Grim and Jacky… that would’ve forced us to commit to bringing them back, exposing more of us to their attacks…

For the record, you have my permission to abandon Jacky if you think it prudent, lol.

Same with Ella, which is why I'm always volunteering to take a peek ahead of the rest of the party. 4-in-6 is a good chance, but won't save us from traps, so we might as well move ahead of the party (90+ feet ahead, though), using a buddy system.

Whilst I’m happy to make a reaction roll to see if Dalton’s vanity is persuaded by Jackie and Ella’s blatant flattery, can I just check, as players, that you would all be on board with accepting the outcome of that roll?

Working for Dalton in some capacity will take the game in quite a different direction, at least in the short term. Dalton is a complete arse and the Darlings are a bunch of bastards. That’s not to say we can’t have a lot of fun with such a scenario. But I think you would have to accept that your characters will lose some of the agency and benefits they currently enjoy as independents.

I’m just pointing out that joining the Darlings isn’t your only option. Whatever you decide, I’m happy to proceed in that direction - this is, after all, a player-led game.
