The players have encountered the following types of beasts on their adventures. This is of particular interest to druids, who can wild shape into beasts that they have seen (of the level-appropriate CR and movement ability):
- Giant Boar (CR 2)
- Giant Rat (CR 1/8)
- Giant Spider (CR 1)
- Wolf (CR 1/4)

The player characters have encountered, heard about, or seen the effects of the following groups or factions:
Dark Elves/Drow: The party encountered drow assassins who were trying to get Tykus' map.
Ducal Guards: The Duke of Grayhaven, Dain Draymore, has served as the Regent for the child queen Sophia. He commands a force of Ducal guards loyal to his house, as well as nominally ruling the kingdom until the Queen comes of age/asserts her own authority. The Duke seems to have wanted to get his hands on Tykus' map.
Lord Mayor's Men: a gang of thieves that has terrorized Grayhaven for some time. The PCs took out the heart of the gang when they defeated the Lord Mayor himself.
Queen Sophia: The monarch of the Greenwold, whose seat of power is the palace in the capitol city of Grayhaven, princess Sophia became Queen when her parents, King Galen and Queen Ava, were drowned in a flash flood that washed their carriage away while on tour of the realm. She was not yet 10 years old at the time. The Royal Guard is an elite military force that is loyal to the throne, though the Duke has been the authority while the Queen has been grieving.

The players have encountered, used, and/or acquired some of the following materials:
Dragonglass: A rare type of crystalline structure that sometimes - very rarely - forms when dragonbreath reacts with another material.
Glimmerberries: Each glimmerberry functions like a goodberry (as per the spell), but unlike goodberries, glimmerberries do not expire. Six glimmerberries can be used to reduce the cost of crafting a healing potion to one quarter the usual cost.
Staff of Glory: The magic staff once wielded by the Lord Mayor. A magic staff that deals an additional 1d10 radiant damage when striking a target. The ancient staff is decayed and slightly damaged; every time it is used in an attack, there is a chance that it will explode.
Orb of Dragon Souls: An ancient dread artifact that was used to end the Dragon Wars and then was sealed and hidden away for fear it would cause too much strife. It has been gone for so many centuries that it was thought to be only a legend. The party found it and four of them swore oaths to it. The orb grants powers to its wielder: resistance to fire, nondetection, ability to cast spells (using charges: protection from energy for 1, bless for 2, creation for 3, revivify for 4), and the ability to dominate a dragon once a day (as a spell, save DC18).
