Perception related rolls
I will use and thread perception related rolls as something similar to "passive perception" (but I'm no near to 5E expert... so please treat this term in general meaning of those words, as term from 5E)) - rolling for that could provide you only with some info that your brain would provide you unknowingly - noticing if someone is hidden, important, but unexpected details and similar.
In contrast: to doing any kind of investigation! Perception rolls won't show you where the hidden leaver is. Or if the treasure box has second bottom. You will have to write that you are specifically looking for it, and if you look in right place - you will probably find it!
In other worlds:
"DON’T USE DETECTION(PER) ROLLS TO FIND HIDDEN THINGS"
The DETECTION(PER) skill is not used to find hidden things like secret doors or hidden clues. If you describe how your PC searches the right place, the GM should simply let you discover what you are looking for if it is possible to find.
