[Interest check] Narrative wargame campaign!

Just to think of some narrative drive, I'd go with OPR fantasy (not skirmish, because morale is easier) with 750 points. Would you have a faction in mind?

In regards to the barons war, would you have an idea about your retinue?

If we're assuming OSR Fantasy but using Warhammer lore, would it be The Old World / Presigmar? At which point I'd go for Tomb Kings or Ogres. Otherwise, Beastmen or Dwarves most likely.

As for Baron's war, are we using real world factions or...? (Also, how many points?)

You could also entertain my head canon alt fic of the Age of Sigmar Rapture, where most of the forces get hoovered into AoS, leaving a fractured polity behind without the aegis of gods, their eternal vendettas, or the veils of secrecy and propaganda, resulting in a *slightly* more cosmopolitan (but still suspicious and hostile) world.

For OPR, assuming fantasy lore.
Vampire counts, some lesser vampire noble, a necromancer loyal to him, and retinue.
Skaven are fun too.
Same applies if we use aos lore, just some different details of what greater factions they hail from.

For barons war, i'd have to take time and learn a bit more of the history to get ideas.

So far, we are five players. I will go with Wood Elves, hoping someone else takes order aligned factions.

OPR it is. Age of Fantasy. 750 points. You can designe your own minis, I think we will use Owlbear or Roll20.

And I think yes, a small portion of an undefined Age of Sigmar plane could be the best place to be as agnostic as possible. I will try to recruit some more, and I will need to think of proper campaign rules.

I don't know if you counted me in, but unfortunately I'm out of time for another game:( But still would like to be a spectator - how you handle this - very much!

Never played with that system before, but would be eager to join if you'll have me!

Since we're in AoS, I'm happy to play order. Likely Dwarves, maybe Empire.

Are we Age of Sigmar, or the Old World? I understood that OPR AoF factions related to the latter

As far as i understand it, AoF factions are made to support models from a couple different ranges.
So they have the classic fantasy armies like mummified undead (tomb kings) or chivalrous kingdoms (bretonnia), and the common fantasy races.
But also some AOS lists, eternal wardens represent stormcast, ghostly undead the nighthaunt.
Then shadow stalkers represent mantic games nightstalkers.
And duchies of vinchi is an original army not made to represent any third party miniatures.

Both! More setting agnostic, less issues. A place I'm Ghyran where you can easily bring Old World lore.

So any 750 pt OPR AoF faction list would be ok in our game?

So, I am in? I am interested in Dwarves or Lizardmen.

I like vampires, but a group from Greywater Fastness is tempting in Ghyran (the human city with guns thats in Ghyran).
So, since factions choices look to be mostly order infighting, that would be my choice.

I was thinking of trying to run a Rangers of Shadow Deep campaign on gp. Even started developing some battle maps and things to do so.

Never pulled the trigger though.
