Gods: We'll be using the Forgotten Realms pantheon, as well as the non-human deities listed in the core books.
Calendar: To keep things simple, we'll be using the real-life calendar (January-December), with 2024 dates. In game, your adventure will take place in year 1175 of the Allarian calendar. The specific start day of our adventure will be April 23rd.
Prices: Prices will, for the most part, reflect what's listed in the D&D core books.
XP: You'll be gaining experience via milestone leveling. Expect to level up after accomplishing a major goal, or after accomplishing several minor ones.
Character Creation: You start at Level 1, with whatever gold/equipment your choices have given you.
Resting: I'm going to copy the system used in Baldur's Gate 3: two short rests per long rest. This prevents spamming of short rests and increases tension.
Weight/Encumbrance: I'm not too concerned with this. Obviously you can't carry an entire warehouse of items on your back, but I'm not going to nitpick you if you're a few pounds over.
Eating and Drinking: Again, not too concerned with this. Pack some rations and you should be good. If you run out, become a hunter or gatherer.
Will add to this as we discuss everything....
