The party decides it's time to escape the castle. You use the grappling hook to secure a rope down to the rooftops upon which the Raven has built his large nest. The thunder booms and lightning flashes, the rain pelts you with stinging drops as fat as coins, and the wind sends your meager clothing flapping in the wind. But you successfully descent and make your careful way up the sloping roof to the Raven's nest where it is dry and warm compared to the outside. You see a large egg in the center, surrounded by items of all kinds: bits of armor, weapons, coins, and others that are in shadows, immersed in leaves, straw, and feathers. The Raven towers over you, looks at you all with one large eye.

"Welcome back," it says looking at Clarence. "I see you've brought friends. Welcome to my nest. How can I be of service?"

Noble corvid, we are five and we have these five trinkets for passage. Here Clarence shows the treasures to the bird, reluctantly—very reluctantly—setting down the sword after on last flourish. Will you take us?

The raven bends its large head down and peers at each item in turn, rotating his head this way and that, weighing their qualities and worth. Eventually he raises his head to look at you and gives a single head bob. "Consider your passage paid. Climb upon my back. What is your destination?"

I would enjoy reading an epilogue with what happened to Frac, if you could write it after they fly away with the Raven, @nezzeraj =)

Gregory decides to use the Count’s cloak at least once before handing it over to the bird. Rather than climb down, he elects to use some of the Lord’s magic to teleport himself to the bottom of the rope.

He then takes the cloak off, thankful for the warmth it had provided him against the cold and folds it down in front of the Raven.

"Take me to a city, if you would. I’d very much like to among many, many people." the wizard says, wearily. He had stalked the halls all evening and no longer wished to be alone or at least as alone as he had been. Safety in numbers!

Varos looks at the Raven."Home, I would like to go home." Varos thinking of all that has happened in the last 24 hrs looks to the others who started as strangers but will now always hold a place in his heart. "We did it friends. As I now consider you my friends. Take care and be well."

As Tibor climbs aboard the Raven, he thinks about his life before coming to the castle. "There is nothing left for me to return to, so take me far from here. This journey to the castle was supposed to be a new beginning and I still plan on starting anew even if it means menial guard work. But I want to go where nobody knows my name." He sits side saddle astride the corvid, still nursing his earlier injury. "While we won't be leaving with much, we have our lives at least (unlike our late goblin friend)," Tibor says, thinking about the curse but not mentioning it.

I would just like to go home, to my weights, my swords, and my gym Clarence says unexpectedly somberly. Thinking of "little buddy" whose corpse is likely feeding the arachnofiend.

The Raven nods in understanding. He dips down so everyone can climb onto his back. With a great beat of his wings he launches into the stormy night. The going is difficult for the first half hour, with the wind and rain and lightning strikes. But then you clear the storm and its a dark moonlit night, although still chilly from the wind blowing against your soaking clothes and skin. The Raven drops you each off at your destination and to safety.
Meanwhile...

Frac gasps to consciousness and darkness. He is in an enclosed space, comfortable but claustrophobic. His chest aches where he had been speared but the wound is mostly gone, just bruising and sore ribs. Feeling his way around his cramped space he knows exactly where he is. Pushing forward with his arms silently opens the coffin lid. He sits up and sees a torchlit lit room of grey marble. Two other coffins lie in this chamber. Somewhere high above, the bell tolls twelve times. Mist swirls into the room and resolves into the form of the Count and three women, one of which is the spider-woman, the other is dressed as a nun, and the third is dressed in barely anything at all. They all smile and reveal their bright white fangs.

The Count says, "Your friends all escaped,
but unfortunately for you they left you behind. I had intended to give you a choice, but with you as our only meal, I'm afraid we will have to drain you completely. Nothing personal."
With a blur of speed all four rush forward and Frac knows no more.
