🌆 The Pitch. Tales of the RED: Hope Reborn is a street-level campaign of six missions, offering a variety of play styles, from standard edgerunner gigs to rock and roll bar fights to elegant heists, and it all culminates in a branching path mission, allowing the Crew to decide if they'll play it sly and quiet or go in with guns blazing.

Caution to the players: I've been seriously wanting to run or play in a deep cyberpunk setting for awhile now. I'm not familiar with the video games and I've never played nor run this game before. This will be a learning experience for me, and maybe for you too. That being said, if you have experience and don't think you can just go with the flow and avoid dropping 'well, actually...'s, maybe consider the frustration you will have. My plan is to not involve any house rules and just play it as straight RAW as I can.

🌆 The Game System and Rules Version. This will use the Cyberpunk RED.

🌆 Character Restrictions. RTG source material only, beginning characters.

🌆 Game Duration and Post Frequency. I prefer daily posters, weekends included (it's understood that life comes first, and holidays may interfere). The game will likely last up to a year, maybe longer. With six missions, there will be time to adjust the crew periodically for any player attrition.

🌆 Specialized Software and Resources. None.

🌆 Player Experience Requirements. No playing experience required. I prefer a mix of experienced and new players, but am happy if we're all learning it together.

🌆 How to Apply. I will select players based on interest shown here or by PM. Preference will be given to those who have the Cyberpunk RED core rulebook and can make characters themselves. I also prefer to include a few known reliable players and a few people I've not gamed with before. I'll select players by Friday (Oct. 18) at the latest and send invites then.

🌆 Marginalized Groups Welcome. This game is explicitly friendly to LGBT and any other minorities or marginalized groups.

🌆 Adult Content or Controversial Themes. Loads of violence, drinking, sex and drugs and that awful music kids listen to in those days.

I have wanted to play Cyberpunk Red for a long time. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with the system. I have the corebook though. If I am given an opportunity to play, I would love to see some rain slicked action in the Nightcity.

I know I did play a bout of Cyberpunk Red before, about two weeks before the campaign collapsed. I don't think I have the rulebook lying around anywhere, but I may be able to find it if I go digging - unsure.
But even if I did, I don't remember much about the system at all, I would count myself as never having played Red before. The world seems quite interesting however!
So... yeah!

I would love to join in! CP:R is one of the games I ran professionally, and found it to be smooth as butter. I have plenty of character concepts, so I'm more than willing to fill a needed niche OR take the lead and help out.

I have a copy of the rulebook, and would point others to the Red Companion app to help out if they don't!

I've got the game, played in person and on this site, and am more than able to make characters myself. I hope I count as reliable but I'm not sure I've been round long enough for that title yet. :p

I've been interested in peeking at Cyberpunk Red for awhile. My Cyberpunk experience is mostly osmosis from Shadowrun and playing a bit of 2077. I do have the main book and a few supplements.

While I'm most a ShadowRun player, I've played a bit of the OG Cyberpunk 2020 and have been wanting to play CP:Red for a while now. It'll give me a good excuse to actually buy the book.. Plus, Red is definitely my color ;)

Never played but I have the core book. Would love to join in if not already full. I will be on vacation from Oct 21 - Oct 26 so my ability to post during that time will be somewhat limited though.

I would love to play some CP:R. I have the rulebook and have made a few characters for fun but have never played at all. Eventually, I want to run the game so it would be great to actually have been a player first!

Lots of great interest posted, thank you all! Definitely enough to choose a crew from. I will, however wait until Friday as I promised. In the meantime, I'll keep working on setting up the game.

I'd love to play a rockerboy type. Maybe some hard boiled type from 2020's era still around kicking ass and dropping tracks.

Gimme cyberpunk! Love the genre, so I'm always down to play or run it. I'm familiar with Red, but my memory can't distinguish between what's in the 2020 vs Red versions anymore, so some refreshing will be needed.

We've gamed together before, and I'm always juggling games, so while I'd love a shot, I'm fine to have others prioritised.

I guess there is a lot of interests in your campaign and you got plenty to choose from, nevertheless I will add my will to join.

I have Cyberpunk Red books, never played it though. I'd like to try a medtech who is passionate by cyberware.

Super late, probably too late, but it's that the Cyberpunk way? :D Have most of the books from every edition (including that which shall not be named), but a patchy experience with playing the game itself!

Thanks everybody for the interest expressed. I like to mix up people I know can be relied upon, and mix in some people I've not yet gotten to play with. I'm thinking five is a good number, to mix up character options and still make sure everyone gets the spotlight once in awhile.

I've decided to go with @witchdoctor, @BedzoneII, and @cowleyc for the known quantities, and @Redcroc and @TiffanyKorta for the new players.

I'll send out invites and then we can get started!
