is there anything like luminal and a black light? i know its old school, but ....don't think I can get a d4 without risking the threat increase.

That sort of tech is covered by the tricorders giving an assist.

I believe we have a decent amount of Momentum banked if you want to make use of that.

I wouldn't be opposed to the Doc giving it a go with the assist afforded by the tricorder and using some Momentum :shrugs:

also remember if your character have a focus that applies any die that rolls equal or under the discipline score is a double success.

okay cool. i have a focus in forensics, the tricorder bonus, and Ill use a momentum. i dont remember if that adds a doe or a success...

@The_Librarian - You still have (1) additional 1d20 to roll. The 1d20 you currently rolled (for a 1 and two successes) can be either counted for the assist from the tricorder or the bonus die from Momentum. So you have one more to roll.

Unfortunately your Forensics Focus won't come into play (missed it by a point as you rolled a 4 and your Science is a 3) but the 1 you rolled equals (2) Successes. So it appears that Doc was successful in the Challenge but with a Complication (the 20 rolled).
