As the goblins start to attack Surge, Raven rushes out to help.

Not sure if Raven can reach a goblin on his 30' move.
Move action: Move as far to reach a goblin.
Action:
If he can reach a goblin, then bonus action Shillelagh and attack with that.
If he can not reach, then take the Dodge action.

Included attack rolls if he gets to use them.

Action
Raven rushes to get to the goblin that popped up to shoot at Surge and with one hit it falls at him feet.
Surge too moves to attack that goblin and in doing so all but steps on another, it is so under foot that both Surges attacks miss.
Goblin 2 after frantically dodging Surges blades and seeing it’s comrade killed in one hit, disengaged and makes a run for the cave entrance. To avoid coming into swinging distance of Raven it has to cross the river then up.

OOC:

The yellow dashes are where he ran. He BA - Disengage, Action - Dash so he got 60 feet, the bushes are difficult terrain

"If anyone requires first aid I am a trained medic" Ammos will pat the healer's kit hanging from his satchel, "I agree that time is indeed of the essence and that splitting up is not ideal."

He will try and observe the hill or mountain that the cave leads within, searching for clues of other cave entrances. "I suppose there is no way of knowing if there is another exit... They could be fleeing with our friends as we speak."

"I still retain some power," Tatiana answers. "Enough for a flurry of magical bolts or to ward an impending attack, or even some telekinetic manipulation. Otherwise, I have my fire."

She draws her wand from her sleeve, and touches the tip to enchant it with an orb of light.

With that, Decklan makes sure his whip is hanging from his belt but easily accessible, and with a shield in his off hand he warily heads into the cave.

Raven stood leaning on is staff as Tatiana and Surge argued about continuing.

He nodded to Surge as the shifter walks away, unable to form words fast enough as the man left, silently watching him leave into the forest. The young man slid down to a stoop next to the stream still watching where Surge had left, the first shifter he had met, a comrade in arms, whose magic had kept him alive in the first battle against the goblins. Dismissed it seemed.

"Safe journey and may the forest watch over its kin." He didn't know why he said that, but it seemed appropriate.

Raven turned slowly to look at his image in flowing water of the stream, the ripples changing the image of the tired young man still covered in his own blood. Was he still the farmer who came on this journey? What would this image be when he left the cave? If he left this cave.

Slowly he rose and followed the others into the cave, attempting to stay quiet in the shadows as Alex was doing.

With Decklan slightly in the lead you all pass out of the sunlight and into the shadowed mouth of the cave. Inside the air is chill and damp. The stream runs along the west wall of the tunnel you are following. In the distance you can hear the rushing noise of what can only be a waterfall. A short distance inside the cave mouth a few uneven stone steps lead to a small landing where the tunnel and path continue a slow upward turn to the north and a craggy opening leads in a western direction.

OOC:

Its a T with north, south, and west as the points. N is ahead, W is the turn off, and S is where you have been.

He looks closely at the ground, making a hand motion to summon nature's aid to show him what he needs to see, to see if he gets any clues about the how must travel each passage gets or where their friends may have gone.

Alex dashes out of the range of Tatiana's light cantrip, muttering to himself blasted wizards and their inability to be stealthy when their lives depend on it. He sheathes his melee weapons and knocks an arrow, realizing he has put himself out of melee range.

Raven you are able to make out some sign on the cave floor. Fresh tracks lead in both offered directions, though with the stone floor it is hard to discover much. The one clear print you see is a foot or so into the western way, it is large, padded, and has four toes. You have definitely seen tracks such as this before in the woods, it is a wolf print.

"Listen kid, I get that you like animals. That's fine. But keep in mind... trained animals are a lot like trained people -- they usually do what they're told by their trainers," the man with a roadmap's worth of scars says quietly. "If I have to choose between you tryin' t' sweet talk some wolves while my face gets chewed off, or killing them for being a threat... well, I got enough scars already. Fair warnin'."

Raven pauses to listen to Decklan, a man who previously he had heard no more than a handful of words. "I've met wolves before, they are very dangerous, but often reasonable... Nature is savage, if they attack, kill them, that is the way of it." Raven is very calm when he says this, almost distant, like he is just saying some fact not related to the death of some creature.

He looks back down the cavern to the west. "I just ask for the chance, if there is one to take. If there are goblins with them, then we'll sadly have to kill them."

He continues slowly down the western cavern.

It's only a short distance down the passage before it opens up into a more cavernous area. The cave is humid and narrows to a steep fissure at the far end. It is filled with the stench of animals and rotting food. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears as you aproch.

The light from Tatiana's wand does not reach into the cave from her current position in the passage. Declan, with his devil sight, can see where three wolves are chained up to the left of the opening where he and Raven stand. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.

Raven stands with Decklan for near the edge of the dark cavern, the whisps of Tatiana's light fading to shadow before showing what is here. But Raven's other senses are assaulted by the place.

In a quiet voice to Decklan, "Any goblins? keep an eye out for them"

A bit louder, but just enough for her to hear, "Tatiana, come up slowly until your light barely reaches them."

Raven moves forward slightly as the dim light arrives. The young man drops to low to the floor, eyes toward where he hears the wolves moving around. A low growl starts from the Raven, low in the chest, for a moment you might think him a wolf himself. As he speaks, you understand the words, but there is deeper tone which includes the occasional growl or bark.

OOC:

Speak with Animals - the ... are pauses or growls you don't understand

"Great hunters... Kings of the Forest... should not be chained... the pack must run free in the light of the Moon... sly green ones have wronged you..."

"My pack hunts the sly green ones... Taken our kin... we hunt to free our pack mates... this is just..."

"No war with your pack and mine... we free you to the forest... you go hunt under the Moon..."

Hope that makes sense :) Raven is offering to free the wolves, in exchange for not fighting them.

He will try to convince them with his words, but he has Animal Friendship ready if he needs it.

Tatiana does as requested, stepping forward until the dim light of her spell reveals more of the cavern. She takes a handkerchief and covers her nose and mouth as rudimentary protection against the malodorous air, but tries to remain as alert as she can be while Raven does his... thing.

Alex moved forward with the grace of a leopard. Padding slowly forward, he was a veritable shadow—unseen, unheard, unnoticed. Hand on bow, his eyes scoured the sides of the cavern, looking for inconsistencies in the cavern walls and roof. I am Mask incarnate, the epitome of of the roguish archetype he thought to himself, with perhaps the slightest tinge of hubris.

And, as with all hubris, the gods answered. So focused on the walls, Alex forgot to pay attention to the floor. Perhaps it was a root, perhaps the carapace of some long-dead crawling creature, perhaps no more than an unexpected dip in the cavern floor. Whatever it was, the floor was not where Alex's foot expected it to be. Woo-wooo-WHOA!, Alex cried as he went tumbling ass-over-teakettle on the cavern floor. His reflexes were good enough to twist on the way down so he did not land on his bow and ruin it. However, this caused his rapier to crash into his parrying dagger with what seemed like an unholy clang. TING, TING, TING echoed down the corridor as all three daggers in his bandolier fell to the ground. Oooof rushed out of Alex involuntarily as the wind was knocked out of him.

Alex looked up very abashedly at Ammos and said with a self-deprecating grin Stealth is overrated for a wizard, right?

Tatiana’s light reaches into the cavern, slow and soft, until it reviles the three wolves. The chains with which they are tied hang heavy around their throats, their hair is matted and tangled where their winter coats haven’t come off. The three had been straining toward the fissure toward the back of the cave where a pile of something lays. Drool dripping from their lips. When Raven announces the groups presence by speaking six sharp eyes turn fast to his face. They turn with growls in their throats and teeth exposed, but they don’t charge to their chains lengths yet.

Raven roll Animal Handling with adv (speak with animals) for each wolf, brown, grey, white.

Raven as you speak softly and offer freedom, all the wolves stop growling, but only the Grey speaks to you in return. "You will set us free?" White and Brown stalk to the sides and back looking agitated and impatient. "Loose the neck… we run free.

Everyone else hears huffs, growls, and whines from the brown wolf, you also see shifts in its posture. You see the pacing and agitation of the other two. You understand only Ravens side of the conversation.

With a last growl, "Agreed, I will loose the neck... you run free... no fight with our packs..."

Raven straightens up from his crouch and looks over his shoulder, speaking normally. "They agree to leave if we release them. Move away from the entrance so they can leave."

He looks specifically at Decklan, "Be ready if break their word."

Raven places his staff on the ground and slowly approaches the wolf who spoke to him, shifting back into wolf, "Try to release you now..."

Raven will see if he can remove the collar, if not, at least remove the chain which holds them.

Changed colors to blue for talking to the wolves and black for the group.

Tatiana steps to the side, pressing her back to the cavern wall as she gestures for Ammos to do the same. The city-living noblewoman no longer considers Raven's understanding of animals to be strange. After all, her brother is a dragon and she can sling magic. Additionally, the scarred man sleeps fine without a bed, and the jester is a master at subverting self-declared expectations.

Feeling Tatiana's eyes burning into him like veritable streams of lava, Alex sheepishly hugs the wall as she passes. For a change, the snooty one has the right to be upset, albeit she needs to be taken down a peg or two……hundred. Why couldn't we have snouty without snooty? he thought to himself with a sigh. Stowing the bow so as not to be overtly hostile to the wolves, Alex keeps his hands near his rapier and dagger. Given his…mishap…outside the room, he would need to use positioning and footwork instead of stealth to take full advantage of his training of just where to strike for maximum effect.

Raven picked up his staff from the floor and glanced around the room now that there was some light to see if there was anything of importance besides a kennel for the wolves.

Seeing Decklan start to move on, Raven follows, although in the light with Tatiana and Ammos instead of out front with Decklan.

The kennel has no other walkways out of it, but the fissure that the wolves were straining toward has a pile of trash beneath it. It's a narrow opening in the east wall that leads to a natural chimney that climbs up into darkness. Or does it, Raven when you look up you swear you see flickering at the top. The rubbish at the base of the fissure has been discarded through the opening above.

Speaking quietly, he speaks to Raven "You do not have the look of a Spellcaster, yet your ability to commune with beasts implies you are every bit as magically talented as my sister and I... I wonder if you are no farmer as you told us before, this may not be the time, but I believe we might discuss who you are exactly at a later time?"

Also, this time, I'm using GP's expanded OTFBM code so it's a bit clearer what codes do what in case someone else wants to do this 😉.

Before leaving the shaft, Raven prods the garbage briefly with his staff to see what kinds of things have been tossed down to the kennel.

When Ammos spoke to Raven, the young man looked at him for a long moment, considering his response perhaps, then finally just shrugs "I've always been able to speak with animals, even as a kid, before I could even talk to people. Most folks thought I was playing a game... even now they think it a trick. Makes dealing with the livestock easier... some neighbors fetch me when they need help with their animals."

He continues to follow Decklan, examining the ground while making a quick hand gesture which Ammos is certain is some kind of magical component.

I think we are heading back out to the stream. Once clear of the kennel, Raven will start looking for any signs or tracks again.

Thank you. The learning curve is steep for the first few times, but then you get the hang of it. The nice thing about GP code, is that instead of a long, hard-to-parse URL, the tokens and structures can be split up logically. The hardest part was figuring out how to turn the character portraits into custom tokens. I have some URLs I can send you if you want to experiment.

I'm going to assume the tunnels are 15' across—so 10' of usable space. Yes, that's different from the prior map, but if we were really using paper and pencil, we could fudge it :). If you know they are more, please let me know. This matters for marching order too.

Alex was conflicted. On the one hand, he worked better from the shadows, and the blond wizard was making sure that there were very few of those anywhere near the rest of the party. So being with the group had its shortcomings. On the other, he was not a good tracker, more prone to get caught up thinking of new doggerel or of beautiful women than in paying attention to his surroundings. Oh, yes, once aware, he could sneak along with the best of them. Most of the time, at least, he thought as he remembered his recent attempt at "stealth". So being up ahead was not necessarily optimal either. On the third hand (if he was a xorn, that is), were he to drop back behind the party, he would effectively be removing himself from the opportunity to help Decklan. Given Surge's return to civilization, for better or for worse, he felt he had to carry his weight martially.

I need a fourth hand to figure this out, but I'd rather not sell my soul and become a glabrezu. Oh, what to do!. Deciding that he owed the party protection, Alex moved up to Decklan and Raven. Raven, you clearly track better than the rest of us. Stay a bit back in the light. Decklan and I are going to be just in the shadows; whisper if you find anything. Decklan, I think you search better than I do, so please look for traps as well. If you find them, I can handle them. As for monsters, if either of you are in engagement range, I can take advantage of their concentration on you to be a little more effective.

Alex moves up just in the shadows, takes a moment to adjust his clothes and posture to further sink into the gloom, draws his weapons, and then starts ahead slowly, trailing Decklan a bit.

Group, please let me know if the below is what we want. Remember, that for Decklan and I to be out of the light, we are effectively more than one round from you, as the cantrip has a 40' range for dim and our movement is 30'.

She transfers her magical Light to her signet ring, and twists the band so that the Grifstone crest can be cupped in her palm to narrow the light's focus, attempting to treat her magic like a hooded lantern.

"When we get out of this," she whispers to Ammos, "remind me to buy an actual hooded lantern."

The main passage from the cave mouth climbs steeply upward, the stream plunging and splashing down its west side. Traveling a short distance from the kennel's turn off, everyone is able to see in the shadows across the stream, a side passage leads west.

Decklan with your Devil Sight you see into the shadows of the ceiling to the north. You can just make out the dim shape of a rickety bridge of wood and rope crossing over the passage ahead of you. The bridge connects where a second passage intersects above this one, twenty feet above the floor.

The stream passage continues up beyond another set of uneven steps ahead, bending eastward as it goes. A waterfall sounds out from a larger cavern somewhere ahead of you.

Those without darkvision now see a rickety bridge that spans the passage, connecting two tunnels that are 20 feet above the stream.

In response to Tatiana's whisper, Ammos replies with a gentle nod and a whispered "Noted."

Ammos looks up to examine the bridge, assuming that the party continues under it he will linger beneath it for a moment trying to determine how sturdy it is and its origin (if it is goblin-made, or maybe some remnant from previous residents even before the goblins). Either way, he will follow the party at the rear.

As the swell of water rushes at swirls around the tunnel you are unable to grab onto the walls or anything solid. As the wave carries you down, everyone takes 6 bludgeoning damage. Everyone is swept back out to the mouth of the cave and scattered prone as the wave disperses in the open area.

A half orc wearing well worn boots, patched west trousers that seems too short for the big guy. He is bringing a whole arsenal of of weapons on his belt or strapped to his backpack nevertheless and the weapons look all in good shape. He was crouched and checking something on the ground and now rise surprised seeing party washed out of the cave.

That's an interesting way to wash yourselves. he exclaims with an irony, watching the party with a real interest.

Ammos will stagger to his feet and look around for Tatiana- upon spotting her face down in the water he will quickly close the distance to her with vague cries of "Tatty!" and "No!" and apply first aid to her with his healer's kit.

The young human rolls to a stop in the middle of the existing stream, coughing up water, he crawls to the edge of the muddy bank, sitting down heavily. Raven hears Trakomak make his comment, without realizing that there is a new person among them, he responds without looking up. "I wouldn't advise it..."

Raven looked around the group, surprised that his staff is still in his hand, he lays it aside. He notes Decklan jump up and head back into the cave, but doesn't have the strength to follow him at the moment, instead spitting more water out of his mouth.

"Everyone alright..." he starts to say be trails off seeing Lady Tatiana not moving. "Ammos!!!" he yells for the other wizard as he crawls quickly over to check on Tatiana, pulling her out of the shallow water onto the muddy bank, where he attempts to stabilize the injured woman.

She slaps the muddy bank as a means to test her faculties and express her frustration, accidentally splattering more grime upon herself and those nearby. "I... I'm f-fine," she sputters into the ground, her weak breath feebly trying to clear the gunk still in her lungs. "What happened?"

Rolling, tumbling, bouncing off of the walls, Alex careened through the tunnels like a quasit in a remorhaz tunnel. Desperately twisting and turning to protect the integrity of his bow, Alex was glad that he re-seated his plethora of edged weapons after his remarkable attempt at stealth earlier on. Finally, unceremoniously deposited at the entrance of the tunnel, he climbed to his feet, coughing and spluttering, in the highest of dudgeon.

Shaking his fist in impotent rage, he all but screamed this is INTOLERABLE. For Alexander Simonnet Natalis de Bertier du Puy, scion of the du Puys, to be treated as COMMON FLOTSAM is an insult to me, my name, and my entire family. How DARE you, whomsoever you are! May your swords look like steel but work as tin. May every bowstring snap in your hands and catch your eyeball on the rebound. May your fathers renounce you as bastards and your mothers confirm the slur. May your arms be remade into pasta, your legs into those of waterfowl, and your gonads serve as marbles for the children of ogres!

Feeling somewhat relieved by venting his spleen, Alex noticed the hubbub around Tatiana. A pang of fear rushed from his head to his toes, as he began to sweat, despite remaining inundated from the flood. No! he cried as he immediately rushed over—shoes all asquelch with cave water. Reaching the group, he breathlessly asked How is snooty, Ammos? In his fear for the blond wizard, he didn’t realize he called her out loud by his pet name for her.

He noticed nothing and no one else—old or new—as he awaited Amos’s response.

Alex jumps when he hears a strange voice address him, whipping around, he has both rapier and dagger drawn and in position before he completes the turn. Between the ignoble traversal of the cave and his concern for the blond wizard—whose condition still remains a mystery to him—Alex is a far cry from his usual, mischievous self. Trying to hide his wounds as best possible behind the facade of bravado, he addresses the well-armed half-orc with a healthy dose of bravado and a flourish of his blades and cloak.
You have exactly five seconds to start explaining who you are, what you are doing here, your connections with Masters Gundren and Sildar, and if you had ANYTHING to do with the condition of the Lady Tatiana.

First, PbP is inherently asynchronous. I'm waiting on someone to fill my character in even though his player knows that Cancerman's player is back at 1HP 🤓.

Second, based on the circumstances, Alex is going for intimidation against Trakomak (consider this to occur immediately after Alex hear's Trakomak's question, so simultaneous with Ammos's answer. Asynchronicity and all (/me shrugs). @Arrcher101, I do not know what your policy is about PvP skills. Happy to roll a check if you want. Or, I'm happy to let @GreyWord respond however he wants. Tatiana rises with the assistance of her brother, testing her footing against the mud. She can now feel the heavy weight of her soggy garments and the muck clinging to her cold skin. "Oh... my... GODS!" she declares, arms out and apart in the hopes that gravity can somehow cleanse her of all the grime. Her initial shock has now been replaced with city-borne fury. "My clothes are ruined! This was a genuine Raffaldini!"

Undoubtedly an obvious sign to Alex and the others that Tatiana's condition is stable, the noblewoman adds to the revelation with the seething, clenched hiss of someone out for blood, "And my hair..."

A muddy plop of slimy gunk falls to the ground from the aforementioned locks.

Furious at the condition of her finery, steam literally rising into the sky from her soggy clothes and muddy hair, Tatiana seems ignorant of Trakomak's presence as her boots squish upon the embankment onto the grass. "They will call this a goblin dale when I'm finished!" she declares, imagining the collapse of heavy earth upon poor goblin heads. She seems intent on following Decklan back into the cave to enact her revenge.

Now, however, she appears to spy Trakomak's orc-like body sporting a variety of weapons. "You!" she says, directing a muddy finger towards the warrior's nose. "If you know how to use those, join us. There are goblins to hunt and people to save."

Something in her own words triggers a change as Tatiana adopts a poise more suited to business than slaughter. She straightens her back, smooths out the wet folds stubbornly clinging to her skirt, tugs on the bottom of her stained vest, and smooths more mud into her hair before clasping her cold hands together at her waist.

"My name is Tatiana Grifstone," she says with all the regality a wet fish could muster. "With my brother Ammos," here a royal curtsy towards the dragonborn, "we are performing a service for Master Gundren Rockseeker, who has unfortunately become waylaid by nasty goblins within this cave. Our company recently had a departure over a disagreement of priorities; you could fill that position and will receive the same benefits and compensation. Do you find this agreeable?"

Half orc seems eager to fight goblins out of bloodlust alone. He demonstrate some ability to think though, switching greataxe for two handaxes. that will be more handy in the cave narrow for a goblin

Lady Wizard, I would fain track after yonder scarred man, but between the goblin ambuscade and the watery adventure, I fear that I would simply collapse before finding him. I believe many of us are in a similar state, other than this…gentlebeing…to my right. Here, Alex looks with a rather jaundiced eye at the half-orc. Mighty convenient is he, wandering on us serendipitously as we were disgorged like jetsam from the mouth of yonder cave. Nevertheless, we must gather* our breath and our selves before we tromp back in and despoil those small, green freaks. Muttering a bit more softly, Alex continues I have made a commitment to creating a set of marbles…

Raven looked at Alex as he delivered a lot of words. Normally Raven missed about half of what Alex said, but with the recent beating he felt as though he was missing even more than normal. The young man tilted his head to try to get the water out of his ear, but since everything on him was equally wet, he had little success.

Raven looked tiredly at the open cave, "Maybe Decklan will come back..." the farmer sloshed his way away from the stream, heading in the general direction of the cave, but more looking for a dry spot in the shade to sit.

"We should keep our guard up... those goblins might send someone to check on the success of their trap."

Raven sits in the protected hunting blind, arms wrapped around his knees, a chill running up his spin as a breeze reminds him that he is soaked to the bone. A fire would be nice, but that would defeat the protected nature of their resting spot. The farmer pulls some dried meat from his bag, chewing on it absently as he rests, watching over Alex who has collapsed, and keeping an eye out for anything which might disturb their rest. They had not achieved much in rescuing their employer, but it was nice that they were able to free the wolves.

Decklan you march through the familiar turnes of the tunnel. Pausing for a few moments at the junction where the wooden bridge still passes over you see nothing moving but the slight sway of the bridge its self. You then pass beneath, there the path curves and you see light a head for a brief moment before a second thunderous rush of water roars down upon you.

Trakomak you have just begun to trek farther up the tunnel when a rolling wave comes crashing down at you.

"Thank you," Tatiana says to Trakomak as he and Decklan wash up at the cave entrance. She had asked that someone fetch the scarred one, and in her eyes that task was performed suitably. She directs the two to where the rest of the team is resting. "In here."

Tatiana removes her outer layer of wet garments to begin the process of drying them out. She uses her Prestidigitation cantrip to first remove lingering mud, then applies a comforting warmth before putting the item back on.

As she launders her equipment, she says, "There was a tunnel the led away from the stream. We could try there."

"Noticed a flash of light before the water rushed again," Decklan says, picking himself up from the mouth of the cave. He turns, as if to charge back in, fast enough that it would make someone wonder if it's reflexive.

He stops mid-step, his scarred face not hiding his anger in the least as he seems to contemplate his choice of actions. Punching the stone at the entrance hard enough that some of it chips off, he growls, "I hate this. Never dreamed I'd be this weak again..." The internal struggle playing tug of war with visible indicators of shifting impulses, with reason eventually winning out as Decklan stalks over to the blind and sits with his back against a tree, scowling at everything and everyone.

Tatiana continues cleaning what she can of her clothing and equipment, before moving to Ammos and taking care of his gear. "I remember hearing a waterfall further in. Perhaps there is a dam," she offers as an explanation. "If that is the case, do we believe the goblins have emptied the reservoir, or is there still enough for a third flood?"

The wizard continues, "I also remember a bridge. If there was a signal, perhaps a goblin was up there? I don't recall seeing anyone, but I didn't have enough time to look. The presence of the bridge, however, does indicate an upper level of this cave. Maybe a ledge or higher tunnel. If we can climb up there, we might bypass further flooding."

"There were no tracks at that side passage, but this much water flooding out would wash away any signs. I would definitely suggest we try that, perhaps he curls up to that bridge we spotted. Definitely worth a look to avoid another flood."

I have a hard time finding them in the first place, though. Alex must be exhausted, as his vocabulary was absent any words over two syllables. Before the party has a chance to disperse, Alex grabs a stick off the ground and proceeds to draw a crude map on the wet ground. So our plan is to ford the stream (blue) before the bridge (green object) and head down the western path? I presume that we are dispensing with stealth and Lady Tatiana will be casting light. So would this be our marching order? Alex scratches some more marks on the floor.

Raven looked up where Tatiana was throwing fire, not seeing the goblin she had been aiming at, but not surprised that the almost deceased woman was a little jumpy, the flood had knocked all of them around quite a bit.

The half-orc plowed over slightly build farmer as he rushed to climb the wall to the bridge. Regaining his balance, "Off to a good start..."
He did not try to follow Trakomak or speak to him, instead he went a few paces deeper into the the western passage and looked to see if there were any signs of tracks or indications that the passage sloped upwards.

Tatiana the firebolt crashes into stone and the goblin is gone.

Trakomak the rocks are still extremely slippery from the water rushing through and you are unable to climb up.

Silence feels the chamber for a ringing moment before once again the roaring is heard.

Everyone except Trakomak is near the tunnel, make a dexterity saving throw to dive inside before the water reaches you. Decklan with disadvantage because your almost to far away.

Trakomak make a Strength save to hold onto the walls and not be swept away.

He looks over to see their new friend climb up the wall to the bridge. Raven cautiously looks toward the cave entrance to see if he can see what happened to the pair without leaving the safety of the side passage.

Trakomak you step slowly along a short tunnel that curve to the right. You see light flickering ahead and shadows moving before it. Your 5 feet from the tunnel opening.

Decklan you move under and past the bridge. You see again a few roughly carved stone steps leading up to a large archway and again you see light. You're about 15 feet from the arch.

The young man glanced from the half-orc disappearing in the tunnel above, to Decklan disappearing up the north passage, to Alex who was still standing next to him in the side passage. After a moment, he looked toward the tunnel entrance to again see if he could determine what had happened to the missing siblings.

Remembering that Tatiana had nearly died in the last wave, Raven ran back toward the entrance of the cave where Tatiana and Ammos had just washed away again. Hopefully the more militant members of the group would be fine on their own as the group was pretty well scattered.

Sorry, was on a plane flying six thousand miles on Sunday, and am a bit jet lagged. Will be +2 UTC for the next five weeks or so, but I should make minimum posting requirements.

Alexander Simonnet Natalis de Bertier du Puy, scion of the the du Puys and gentleman scholar and rake, was not in a good mood. He was annoyed. No, more than annoyed, he decided that he was taking full-on umbrage. He started this journey in fine fettle, with a song in his heart and poetry on his lips. That Alex was now relegated to the rear of his subconscious. Instead, the slightly more bitter and infinitely more sardonic Alex had come to the fore. He was tired, wet, bedraggled, put out, and not copacetic in the slightest. Alliteration be damned; rather, visions of wreaking unholy vengeance on the small green folk danced through his mind as he stalked—pantheresque, at least in his mind—from the side tunnel and followed the path that the half-orc near mindlessly charged. Well, at least he will draw their attention whilst I move, he thought.

As he moved down the corridor, he heard sounds behind him. Approaching were her most royal highness, Lady Snooty of Snootsville, followed dutifully by her surprisingly competent brother and the young farm lad; a lad with more depth to him than apparent at first. Dispensing with any thoughts of stealth Lady wizard wouldn't know subtlety if it came up and bit her on her lovely blond hair, would she. Wait, lovely?? Where did that come from. Alex shook his head and waited until they caught up with him.

Bowing as gracefully as one who had been battered and bruised and taken a nap on the forest floor could be, Alex asked I say, mesdames et messieurs, shall we follow the rampaging half orc up the wall and across the bridge, or shall we await yet another lovely tumble in the whitewater tunnel of love?

The wizard hustles through the tunnel to catch up to Decklan. Tatiana summons her magical flame, ready to launch it in the face of any goblin she sees.

The Goblin Cave

Tatiana continues forward, moving up behind Ammos and Raven. She is hesitant to advance beyond the line given the confusing clash of cavernous combat, so her magical fire stands ready to be launched ahead in support of her companions.

OOC:

Movement: 10-20 feet until J1 or K1, whichever gives me a sight line to the goblin at N4 or the goblin at N6. Won't go past Raven's current position.
Action: Cast Fire Bolt, or if I can't target any goblin, Dodge.

@Arrcher101 Please review the thread. I am supposed to be next to Trakomak at J4 and you have me by Decklan. It makes a big difference. Since from J4 I can get into melee with the goblin at N4 and have sneak attack. I cannot do it from where you have placed my character on the map.

The DM said that in order to be next to Trakomak you needed to have climbed the wall, so he put you next to Decklan instead in order for your attack attempt to count.

Alex looks over the battle tableau and notices a goblin whose attention is completely taken up by the hulking half-orc. Perfect, he thought as he sighted down his bow yet again.

Raven following Alex up the stairs sees the man make a satisfied shot with his bow, then immediately go down felled by a well placed goblin arrow. Sliding to a stop, Raven drags the man behind cover. Opening his healer kit, Raven attempts to stabilize Alex.

I miss the old D&D goblins. These 5E ones are annoying.

Alexander Simonnet Natalis de Bertier du Puy; scion of the du Puys; gentleman rake; poet; scholar; lover of wine, women, and song—not necessary in that order—dashing troubadour; and daring rascal, had never in his entire life felt such pain as he did now. Watching the bright scarlet rivulets of his life’s blood darken to a carnelian hue was not helping his equanimity either.

He recalled letting loose a magnificent shot, skewering the little green monstrosity next to Decklan oh, so precisely through its hideous, bilious liver, when he felt as if a shard of glass dipped in an unholy mixture of yuan-ti blood and the fires of Avernus entered his side, whereupon his vision went white, then red, and then black.

Coming to, the pain returned in full. Looking down at his bloody side, he realized that one of those damned green goblins had repaid the favor with a shot of their own. Gasping in agony and hypoxia both, he weakly turned his head to the young Raven and whispered thank you, lad. I owe you; remind me when we find somewhere more civilized. Slowly getting to his knees behind the cover to which he was unceremoniously dragged, Alex realized the fight was far from over. Damn these green bastards back to Maglubiyet’s hells he thought, as he did his best to sight down on the goblin still engaged with Trakomak.

OOC:

I am working under the assumption that at 1hp, Alex can function normally. Also, I am taking the liberty of assuming that my bow and quiver came with Alex when Raven dragged him. I don’t think Alex is technically had disadvantage, and that goblin at O4? is within melee of Trakomak, so sneak attack should be active. If any assumption is incorrect, Please adjust.

Seeing such an impressive warrior and a wolf by his side would under normal circumstance make Trakomak me the right decision to run. But rage and Orcish fury has taken over his sapience. He draws his greataxe and swing it over his head crying Bleed for me! trying to cut into Klarg's chest.

Wary of firing into the multi-person battle, Tatiana sets her sights on the far goblin. She knows that if she can eliminate that threat, the group can focus fully upon the larger Klarg and their wolf.

She glances briefly at Alex to gauge the man's condition. Seeing that he is at least able to provide supporting fire, Tatiana does the same with her own fiery magic.

Tatiana runs forward as far as she can, but does not see any problems, yet.
Ammos who held his action to run alongside his sister is just beside her and he can’t see any enemies either.
Alex is able to hit goblin 2 even though he is behind the half cover of a stalagmite.5 dmg
Goblins two and three fire arrows at Tokamak having just seen him kill one of their own, one misses, one hits for 3 dmg.
Goblin 4 disappears up the stairs behind him.

Decklan moves and throws a Eldrich blast but it misses.

Goblin 4 returns and looking at the situation shoots at Trakomak. 6 dmg.
Raven pulls Alex into cover and stabilizes him.

An angry snarl rips through the cave as a very large humanoid emerges from the doorway across from the pools. He is long of limb and covered in coarse hair, with wedge-shaped ears and pointed teeth. "Klarg kill you all now. Take your stuff." He rushes Trakomak and swings a very heavy looking morning star at him. Luckily he misses. He snarls again.
Raven scrambles past the rocky cover and rushes forward to help Trakomak, misses.
Decklan tries to hit the last goblin with an eldrich blast, but misses.

Alex looked at Tatiana with some puzzlement. The party was being overrun by little and big green monsters and she wanted to play doggy with the slavering wolf? Sorry, dear, but I value our survival over that of yon snarling canine, he thought as he drew his bow yet another time, grimacing in pain from his wounds.

Entering the cave from which Klarg and the wolf exited you see, sacks and crates of looted provisions are piled up in the south end of this large cave. To the west, the floor slopes toward a narrow opening that descends into darkness. Where you came in is a larger opening, leads north down a set of natural stone steps. The roar of falling water echoing from the waterfall by the pools beyond. In the middle of the cavern, the coals of a large fire smolder.

There do not seem to be any living things left in this part of the cave system.

Trakomak don't hide his disappointment. He goes to the pool to wash the blood : his own blood from an arrow and much more of the decapitated creature.
As adrenaline rush is over he leans against a wall silently observing the rest of the party.
Where did they get all of the crates? Your friends were delivering?

HalfOrc is around of his battle scars and will avoid getting bandaged.

Raven takes a quick look around, but the fresh blood from the wolf bite reminds him to take his own suggestion. Once some of the more savaged members get bandaged, Raven will take his own turn to get healed.

"I've got some healing supplies also. Since you are easily better practiced at this, we can share mine."

Raven pulls out his healing kit and allows Ammos to use his supplies to help the others.

Wincing as the salves and bandages are applied, Tatiana answers Trakomak. "We learned of our friends' capture because of a goblin ambush. This must be the spoils from other waylaid travelers."

She thanks her brother for his help, and as he moves on to assist the others, Tatiana goes to the looted supplies for an inspection. "We might find something useful," she explains, poking through the sacks and crates. "And if not, we can see about bringing these back once we've put the rest of this vermin into the ground."

Decklan shifts impatiently. On one hand, he knows these people need a chance to get patched up if they're going to be of any use. On the other hand... no one is rescuing themselves.

"Don't care what a blue lion means. If it has useful gear, grab it. If not, we have some saving to do. We can come back to this crap later and sort it out then."

Alex looks up in a haze of blood lust and blood loss. Thank you, snouty, he says in his brain-addled fog, as the wise dragonborn tends to his wounds. But see to your sister first, the blond princess has lost more blood than I. Catching wind of some discussion about boxes and locks, Alex weakly pipes up, I have some facility with arranging for items to become more accessible, if needed. My fingers can use the practice. After I take a nice long nap, that is, he says, coughing up another trickle of blood.

Are we taking a short or long rest? Otherwise, how many HP can we recover due to the care?

Contrary to her upbringing, Tatiana retrieves Klarg's head. With a slight smile, she holds it with both hands to study the gruesome trophy, then laces her gloved fingers into the hair to carry it with her like a raptor with prey.

You return to the rickety bridge that spans the stream. It connects the two tunnels that are 20 feet above the stream. You head from the pools cavern to the unexplored tunnel across the bridge. The rush of the waterfall makes it difficult to hear anything else in this part of the cave. There is a tunnel before you, heading west. It curves ahead but down the way you think you can see the flicker of firelight.

Looking at both Raven and Ammos, Alex expresses his thanks for for their healing skills. He is to tired to chase after his expended arrows they are either broken or ruined with goblin ichor, but commits to husbanding his remaining 15 until he can restock.

As Alex lies recuperating, he calls out to Raven. Raven, lad, did you say that the goods were blazoned with a lion's head cabossed azure, or a lion's head cabossed on a field azure?. Realizing that the farm boy would not understand the language of heraldry, he repeated I mean, a shield with a lion's head facing you with no sign of the neck, with either the lion blue or normal colored on a blue background?

Alex pauses to catch his breath, and then continues. That's the symbol of the Lionshield Coster. They are a merchant company based in Yartar. They ship goods all over northwest Sword Coast. I remember the symbol from taverns in Amphail, where I grew up and learned some juggling tricks.

Alex pauses again to stretch, and winces slightly has he feels a stitch in his side. Continuing, Come to think of it, they may pay a reasonable reward for either their goods return or the information where to find it. As we are heading to Phandalin, we should probably reach out to their representative when we get there. Here Alex pauses. Actually, maybe can we fit them all in our wagon? We traded Surge for Trakomak, though. Not sure how that affects the seating, Alex says with a smile.

Alex finishes by asking Did we find anything else of interest besides the trade goods?

The group heads down the tunnel and towards that flickering firelight. Decklan and Trakomak are the first to see into this new cavern. You peek in from the east.

This large cave is divided in half by a ten-foot-high escarpment. On the west end, a steep, natural staircase leads from the lower portion to the upper ledge. The air is hazy with the smoke of a cooking fire, and pungent from the smell of poorly cured hides and unwashed goblins.

You see five goblins in the lower portion and one on the edge of the escarpment. He seems to be a bit larger than the others. Kneeling before this larger goblin, knife to his throat is Sildar Hallwinter. Sildar is badly beaten and his knees or precariously close to the edge of the ten foot edge.

Trakomak freezes. He watch the scene trying to understand if goblins have notice him through the hazy and stinky air and if noticed - what are their immediate reaction. But most importantly he don't understand - why are the larger goblin been holding his knife to a human's throat, but demanding nothing of him.

Alex takes in the tableau in an instant. Sildar will be killed if parlay isn't started; which does not mean that it must end peacefully. These evil creatures deserve nothing but death, but for now, the attempt to save the human is paramount. Closing his eyes for a moment, he calls on his experience on tavern and theater floorboards (Performance) and dons the role.

Alex saunters towards the goblins nonchalantly, his hands near, but not on, his weapons, as if he had not a care in the world.

OOC:

Alex will stop walking as soon as he sees the big goblin tense, for fear of it killing Sildar. Otherwise he walks and talks until he gets to about 10–15 feet from the group of goblins.

Truce? Truce you say? You miserable green-skinned excuses for the mucosal discharge of a syphilitic ogress? You see, we have you cornered. Boxed. Hemmed In. Enfenced. Encompassed. Immured. Encapsulated. Trapped like flies in the web of a particularly vicious—and hungry—spider. Here Alex grins most malevolently.

He continues, forgive me, I feel that you would be more at ease if my hands were occupied by something other than weapons, would you not? Slowly, and unthreateningly, Alex moves his right hand from off his rapier.* and takes a copper coin out of his tiny belt pouch. Alex starts it dancing across his fingers—hopefully hypnotically—as he continues to address the goblinoid scum. Your lord Maglubiyet must be smiling on you this day, as for some odd reason, I—Alexander Simonnet Natalis de Bertier du Puy—am in a generous—nay, veritably bountiful—mood, and I am most interested in hearing your parlay. Here Alex looks at the escaped goblin. Ask your fellow; he knows I can be magnanimous. I had the opportunity to flay his hide from his flesh, and yet, you see, he stands before you complete. So perhaps we can discuss some kind of arrangement.

But hearken well, my companions, and here Alex nods his head at Trakomak, are neither as mellifluous nor as beneficent as I am. Nor are they reservoirs of as much patience. Therefore, I would recommend, most urgently, that you state your position quickly and clearly before their restraint wears thin.

Alex continues the dancing coin as he awaits a reaction.

Raven stood quietly once he saw what was happening within the cave. He had no way to reach the goblin holding Sildar. As Alex spoke, Raven paid more attention to the goblins than him. He recognized the complex speaking Alex liked to us and quickly found that he understood almost nothing the man was saying anyway.

Decklan moved in and a bit to the side, taking in the entire scene in front of them. A ten foot fall wasn't much, but considering Sildar looked to be in rough shape it might be enough...

Then Alex started in, and Decklan closed his eyes to hide the fact he rolled them as hard as he had. After a moment -- spent supressing the urge to offer a trade -- he shakes his head. "What he said, in as many words as possible because he's in love with the sound of his own voice, is that we can be an agreeable lot but we're running out of patience so state your terms."

Behind his back, a flick of his wrist draws his whip from the ethereal... just in case.

Tatiana stays behind, giving herself space from Alex and Decklan not only to remain away from the cluster, but also to assess the situation from afar. She looks to see if any of the goblins are holding a dwarf prisoner, or if anything might resemble Gundren's body.

"Ammos," she whispers, keeping her brother with her in the shadows, "what cantrips do you have available? Do you still have the one that allows you to mimic a voice? If it comes to battle, we can try to distract the big goblin with an illusory threat from behind."

OOC:

I think Ammos has Minor Illusion, but I don't know what other cantrips he has.

For now, adding a Perception check to see if Gundren is here.

Tatiana from where you stand you cannot see behind Yemmik, but you can tell by the ceiling that there is quite a bit of room up on the shelf that he stands on. And with a twenty one perception you do notice Sildar's eyes flick to somthing or someone up there with them.

Tatiana continues to whisper to Ammos, not paying much attention to the parley itself. So engrossed in her discussion, she does not notice that the topic has veered to the head of Klarg, nor the fact that Klarg's blood is oozing down her skirt and boots from where she holds it.

"There's more than just the goblin and Sildar up there," she whispers. "I don't know if it's Gundren or another wolf. Perhaps we pick something that goblins fear, such as a dragon. I will place my illusory image as though charging in from this tunnel, while you supply the proper draconic voice."

Tatiana glances over to the cave again, and this time sees the others in the party looking back at her. Palms up in question and inadvertently lifting Klarg's head to splatter blood and brain across her vest, she exasperatingly asks, "What?"

Almost instinctively, Tatiana balks at the repossession of her treasure. It takes her a few long seconds to fully process what is being asked. She straightens her back and holds the head out to Decklan. "Certainly," she says politely. Then, much more quietly, says to herself, "I guess it proved useful much earlier than anticipated."

Shortly after Decklan takes ownership of the gruesome trophy, Tatiana steps forward to touch the scarred man's elbow. "Be careful in your negotiations," she warns. "I do not trust these cretins to honor whatever agreement they've declared."

Returning to Ammos with a step back, she whispers to her brother, "Change of plans. We may need your medical skills again if the goblins harm Sildar. I will try to clear the path for you if it becomes necessary."

"One head, as requested. Now, about the people you're holding?"

During the focus on the reappearance of Klarg's disembodies head—was that snooty?! holding the gruesome trophy?—Alex decided that his coin-walking skills were unnecessary. Letting the coin fall through his fingers into his pouch, he slowly removed one of the daggers in his vest bandolier and starting cleaning his nails, while looking at the goblins with a smile. Of sorts.

OOC:

If the goblin holding Sildar hostage makes any threating motion in response, Alex will stop before drawing the dagger.

When everyone done their communication and is moment of silence he asks goblin Black Spider ? What black spider? What business?

I'd like to make my own decision oh weather my PC is going anywhere. I would like to remind that 1. Trakomak sees this Sildar for first time in his life. Neither do Sildar knows Trakomak is to be trusted 2. Trakomak is barbarian and is barelly holding off from doing something stupid (i.e. attack)

The goblin who had begun to climb the stairs continues on his way and slips into the unseen area behind Yemmik for a moment before arriving back into view dragging a whimpering dwarf behind him. He drags him toward the approaching Alex.

Everyone but Alex and Ammos can see that Gundren’s eyes are white, no iris or pupils visible. He seems to be as beat up as Sildar is.

Tatiana remains where she is, ready to launch destructive magic against any goblin that attacks her companions. The farmhand has the right of it; recover Gundren and SIldar first, then retrieve Klarg's treasure chest.

However, she also understands that the layout of this cave is perfect for the goblins to ambush them as they retreat. Someone may have to remain at the bridge as a bulwark while the party navigates the tunnel, lest goblin arrows are loosed from there. Someone... or something.

The goblin holding Gundren allows Trakomak to take possession of him.

Trakomak the dwarf looks up at you with unseeing eyes and fear on his face as you lift him easily.

When Trakomak charges forward to get Gundren, Decklan stops advancing. He was only going because for a moment, it looked like Trakomak might not go get one of the hostages. Decklan nods at Yemmick. "As I said... no funny stuff on our end."

The implication is clear.

He'll keep his distance, and watch intently.

Tatiana takes one step back down the tunnel. She nods to her brother and says to her companions, "Our retainer will be the rearguard at the bridge until we have safely passed through, after which they will rejoin us. We will not be the aggressors, but we will defend ourselves if we are attacked.

"Ammos, let us move ahead to secure the path, and inform our guard of what he needs to do."

OOC:

Tatiana plans to cast Silent Image and place the illusion of another half-orc on the bridge wearing half-plate armor and carrying a glaive, who will stand like the mythical Benkei in blocking the way. If necessary, Ammos can provide a voice using Minor Illusion. She reasons that since Trakomak is unfamiliar to the former-prisoner goblin Trck, having a second half-orc warrior shouldn't seem out of the ordinary.

Also, Tatiana intends to recover Klarg's treasure chest.

Alex as you crest the top of the steps, you can see that the ledge Yemmik stands on must be where he sleeps and keep the prisoners. In the back corner thete are metal rings in the wall where the prisoners were probably tied.

When you approach, you are allowed to take possession of Sildar. Yemmik draws his bow slowly but does not knock an arrow. He just nervously fidgets and waits for you all to leave.

"Ammos," whispers Tatiana as they walk together, "I know you need to be closer to manipulate your voice. Move ahead to the lower level, under the bridge, and put yourself as far as needed towards the exit. You will be in a better position if we need to convince the goblins of our guard while we bring our friends through the tunnel."

Once out of sight of the goblins, Tatiana uses her wand to conjure her Silent Image. She visualizes the wolfen shifter Surge with his longsword and dagger, and places the illusion at the bridge in a pose ready to spring into action. "You remember his voice, yes?" she says to Ammos.

The noblewoman will continue on to recover Klarg's treasure chest.

I just remembered that Trck did see Surge, so I've altered the plan a bit to make it more believable. I figure Trck wouldn't question the appearance of Surge since they fought each other at the ambush.

Alex turns to Yemmik and asks, as convincingly as he can, you don't have any more prisoners back there you need to free now, do you? My large friend here, and here Alex nods at Trakomak, who has just picked up Sildar, would really not like to have to come back here. Nor would you.

Alex remains concerned about that ledge that Tatiana pointed out and at which Yemmik keeps glancing. DM, if you want a persuasion or intimidation check, please let me know. From a "red mage" perspective I am aiming for persuasion, as I am better at it, but intimidation may be more appropriate here :).

Tatiana a image of Surge appears where you cast your spell. He looks ready to defend the bridge against on comers. You return to the chest and, as it is unlocked, it is easy to lift the lid. Within you find 600 copper pieces, 110 silver pieces, two glass vials with red liquid inside, and a small statue of a frog with tiny golden orbs for eyes. The statue is small enough to fit in a pocket.

Alex from where you stand you can see the hole of the ledge and there is no one else up there, and there are also no more openings in the walls. Yemmik shakes his head, "None left but this one." He nods his head at Sildar.

Trakomak Gundren is still and easy to carry out of the cave. No one stops you. When you exit back out into the clearing next to the river and offer water, Gundren seems hesitant to drink it.

Ammos follows close behind Trakomak as he goes to the exit but doesn’t follow all the way out. Instead Ammos stops where he can still see the silent image of Surge, that he might give it voice if required.

Tatiana quickly mulls over the encumbrance of the treasure chest and decides on a short list of priority.

Quick logistics question, is Klarg's chest easy enough for Tatiana to carry? If yes, she would take the whole thing. If not, she will take the statue and glass vials first, followed by as much silver as she can and saving the copper for last.

Regardless, Decklan makes sure everyone else has left the cavern with the rescued hostages before looking to Yeemik. "Pleasure doin' business." With that, he heads out himself.

"Ammos, please see to Gundren," says Tatiana, wanting her brother to help Sildar with the dwarf and provide any medical assistance. Gundren's condition is of obvious concern.

To Raven, she asks, "Can you get us to the wagon? I don't wish to remain so close to these goblin churls with so many wounded. We ought to leave as quickly as we can for Phandalin."

Turning to the rest of the group, Tatiana says, "Thank you all for your help. I wish we could rest, but I'm certain you would all agree that we must get as far from here as possible. Perhaps one day we can return and reclaim those stolen supplies. In the meantime, let us be mindful of traps as we travel towards safety."

Do we apply all benefits of a new level now, or do we need to rest first?

"Whatever prosperity they enjoy will be temporary," says Tatiana. She cannot pursue the half-orc physically, so her voice attempts to follow. "You are a formidable warrior, Trakomak, and night has fallen; lend us your skills to protect our friends as we escort them to safety. We will return to deal with these goblins."

She waits briefly by the cave entrance. If Trakomak chooses to continue for the supplies, Tatiana regrettably turns to follow the rest of her companions to the wagon.

Ammos crouches down next to Gundren, casting dancing lights about them, so he might examine his friend. Gundren is beaten but no wounds are fatal. "What happened to your eyes?" Ammos asks him softly.

Surely a cleric can heal his sight."

"Damn well better be," Decklan says, arms crossed as he looks over the group. They were certainly the worse for wear, but they were all still pushing air past their teeth -- that was always a good sign.

"Me an' th' kid can lead the way back to the wagon. We move slowly but decisively. I agree with Princess... we put distance between us and these caves. I don't think they want to fight us, seeing as how we'd killed the guy they were afraid of... but if they think we're easy marks they might roll the dice. Let's not risk findin' out."

Tatiana gives a nod to Decklan's words. She resets her Light spell to guide the way for those without darkvision and follows Raven to the wagon. While Ammos and Sildar see to Gundren, Tatiana keeps her senses alert for any signs of danger.

Alex heads back to the camp with the group. He cannot help but speculatively glance at the chest carried between Ammos and Tatiana. Ascertaining the value and resellability of goods was a endeavor in which he had some skill. Tearing his eyes away from the chest and his thoughts from lucre, he approached Gundren and Sildar. Turning to Sildar he said, I could not help but overhear. While I understand the need for the map, I think our priority is to get Master Gundren to a healer. There should be one in Phandalin. Turning to the limping Gundren he asked, back in the goblin cave, we came across a collection of trade goods which were blazoned with the arms of the Lionhead Coster. Are those yours as well?
