Hello GPers,
I'm looking for a replacement player for an AD&D 2e game. The setting is Icewind Dale. Another player ran the initial leg of the adventure, and I stepped in for the current stretch. (Still Icewind Dale)
A clan of dwarves that the group met in the previous section of the adventure set the group out to investigate why some of their kin haven't been communicating with them in a while. The new player will step in just as the group has finished travelling a mountain pass and arrives at a bridge with a slightly nasty history. From here, the group will have to make contact with and get back in touch with the clan that sent them on the expedition in the first place. Is everything OK, or has calamity befallen the dwarven kin?
The content is pretty benign, and there haven't been any themes or content that have become too mature. We're doing a pretty reliable job of posting at least once per day.
Characters Roll 4d6 and drop the lowest six times, then assign as desired. Since no one spoke out against it, I will permit character kits (except the bladesinger). Everyone begins with max hit points for 1st level. Magic-users get read magic, detect magic, and two spells of their choosing. Roll for your gold normally. (Text in italics is character creation from when the game first began. Same rules apply, but it's probably worth starting at level 2. However, starting at level 1 is fine.)
I'm happy to have anyone sign up, but I already have several players. No experience with the game is required, but I will need to take this on a first-come, first-served basis.
Feel free to DM me specific questions about the game.
