Ella snatched her bow from the floor, and stood up, lining a couple of shots at the retreating Heliagaballus.

I’m mostly concerned with him casting spells at us while falling back. In 5e parlance, I’d say she’s readying an action. But I guess depending on initiative she’ll shoot at him or not… we’ll have to see.

As the party’s rivals flee, Grim heaves deep dwarven Sigh of relief. I wasn’t sure I could take another hit, Grim discloses to his companions. The dwarven cletic brandishes his holy symbol, and once again utters words of self-ascribed healing.

Jacky warily clambers to his feet, keeping an eye on the retreating Darlings. They'd be back for revenge, he had no doubt, but no help for it now! And he couldn't be too dismayed that Thrudmarr and Grim had sprung so fiercely to his defense.

Not sure whether Jacky can get up and attack on the same round, but he'll aim at the mage too if it's doable.

As some of you are considering further attacks, let’s move to round 2. At the start of the round, everyone is still in melee range. The remaining Darlings are all planning to perform a Fighting Retreat. Those who can Parry will do so.
Grim’s Cure Light Wounds (with the existing roll of 7) will go off at the appropriate segment.

Ella will help in the grisly work of going over Dalton's belongings, if it seems useful. But she is in panic mode, pretty sure that the other darlings will soon realise that they could exact revenge and plunder our corpses. Thrudmarr removes an old cloth from his puch and wipes off his axe while keeping an eye on the direction the Darlings fled.
"Meh, they not so tough without mouthy bossman, they no come back." Thrudmarr spits on the ground toward the entrance they fled back through.

@Burbage - There was a second cave on the Long Falls climb up that we passed over...about how far down the top was that? Wondering if we would roughly be level with it or not, it could have been another entrance.

What's your spell situation Grim, do you have any Cure Wounds left? Jacky could use one if so. The bearers of this licence agree to the following terms of use:
- To pay a fee of ten gold coins to Phlebotmas Plumthorn for each subsequent sortie into Arden Vul.
- To gift 10% of all treasure recovered (including items of a magical nature) to Phlebotmas Plumthorn.
Any breaches of this licence will result in grievous consequences.
The second cave you found on the ascent was about 400' from the plateau at the top of the falls. According to Grim's dwarven instincts, he reckons you're currently around 350' below the surface. (Great question by the way. Whether this information proves to be useful or not, understanding the "verticality" of Arden Vul will be key to working out how everything fits together).

While the others are looting the corpse or getting healed, Thrudmarr approaches the nearest column and starts scraping at it with his battle-axe, trying to see if it scrapes off like paint or if they're solid gold.

Regarding the idea of taking the not-so-fresh orc flesh downstairs, she also expressed a negative view. "The only path we know takes us through areas the darlings might be waiting for us. Too dangerous."
Looking at Dalton's armor, the petite elf shook her head softly.."This is too heavy for me, I'd rather retain the ability to run, if needed."
