Winterleaf looks at Jacky as if he’s stupid. In a patronising tone, he explains: "We generally find that parties don’t bring treasure INTO The Halls. Of course, if you want to do that in the future, we’ll gladly take our 10%. And, yes, I know all about Dalton - your 'colleagues' filled us in on the details. That’s between you and them. Nothing to do with us."
There are six halflings with you at the moment, including Winterleaf. Looking to your right, you can see another five approaching from the southernmost of the two easterly corridors.
Checking your character sheets to see what treasure you are carrying (‘cause if it ain’t on your character sheet, you ain’t got it) …
- Zach has no treasure.
- Thrud has the yellow silk, the Codex of Eustachius the Cantor, the bone white potion, the viscous black potion, the 250 ancient silver pennies, and the ceremonial headdress.
- Ella has the scroll of Phantom Armour and two green potions.
- Jacky has no treasure.
- Grim has no treasure.
As far as I can tell (please correct me if I am wrong), nobody has the scroll of "Find Traps" from the corpse in the Entrance Chamber, the dark brown potion you found in the Hall of Columns, or the naughty book that Zach took a fancy to. We will assume you either forgot to pick them up, or you lost them at some point.
I know I’m stating the obvious, but you’re leaking XP by not keeping on top of your inventories. That’s 1,300 XP potentially lost from those 3 items (assuming you sold them rather than kept them).
BTW - the way Ella links her inventory items to the relevant posts in the game is super-helpful! I’d encourage you all to do that.

Now if this is a 'teachable moment' whereby everything that is absent from the sheet no longer exists in the fantasy, I'll obviously accept your ruling, @Burbage. That being said, I think it was not clear to me — I don't know about the others — that the consequence for not editing my character sheet would be so dire.

I might not have it on my sheet, but Ellagel narratively tucked the strange rod in her boot a ways back, and I had all intention on keeping the squares of tinted glass. Ella was the last one to handle the book of erotica, and she'd probably have kept it too (as soon as she 'fell' into the 60' movement category, she was ready to pick up more stuff). I made this very clear at the beginning of the game in the 'Expectations' thread ...
"1. Players have sole responsibility for maintaining their character sheets. This particularly relates to your inventories, encumbrance and movement rates. Expended items should be removed, acquired items added, and encumbrance totals and movement rates updated accordingly."
However, as I am a kind and benevolent GM, I will give you one, and only one, free pass on this. Please assign the three "missing" items between you, and make sure your encumbrance is updated accordingly.
You are free to take on any hirelings or henchman as you see fit, as per the OSRIC rules.

They settle on the ancient silver pennies, of which they take 25 (leaving you with 225), along with the bolt of yellow silk and the ceremonial headdress.
(GM note: to reassure you, that’s actually less than 10%, but then, what do halflings know? I appreciate these halflings are a pain in the ass, but that’s exactly what they are supposed to be. Just think of the sweet revenge you’ll dish out at some point in the future! Please remove 25 ancient silver pennies, the silk and the headdress from your inventories, whoever is carrying them).

Grim allows his pack to be searched, holding his hands outstretched in attempt to convey clerically-minded peacefulness. He is thankful the petty thugs haven’t confiscated the Find Traps scroll, which our dwarven fellow will put to good and proper use!
