Hello!

I am Judy Iscariot. I've been a long-time GM and occasional player in RPGs, and I'm looking to get into playing some play by post games! My primary interests are usually in the horror / urban fantasy space, with a particular love for Call of Cthulhu (at least as a GM). Other games I enjoy include Savage Worlds (anything, but I really liked Rippers), World of Darkness, DnD, Pf1e, the Cypher System, and most recently Curseborne. Looking forward to getting to play some games with you all!

I haven't really followed Curseborne closely enough to have an opinion just yet. How're you liking it so far?

I've read through about half the book and so far it's awesome. It's a new spin on some familiar ground where everyone is playing as a supernatural of one type of another. Think World of Darkness, but with the intent being more cooperative and allowing Werewolves, Undead, Vampires, Mages, and Outsiders like angel and demon adjacent folks in one game.

Curseborne uses the Storypath Ultra system, right? I've always been a fan of Onyx Path's Chronicles of Darkness. How's that stack up with Curseborne?

I do like that Curseborne at least attempts to address the WoD's weakness where it came to multi-monster games.

Yep! It uses Storypath Ultra. For me it's been relatively familiar but I haven't gotten a chance to actually play yet. The lore and everything has been great, and the system seems pretty straightforward.

Thank you! I want to say we made it close to halfway through the plot point campaign, but it was several years back. Super fun setting and system (Rippertech).
