Hey everyone, I'm Corvuska (or Corvus). I love writing and playing TTRPGS. Today's scheduling conflicts are rough and I was hoping to learn more about Play by Post to get some more consistent game time in. I'm willing to learn new systems when trying out games.
Just looking to have fun, tell a story, and maybe after I get the hang of it, run a game or two myself. I look forward to learning and playing with the community.
Niceties out of the way, more about me:
I have the most experience in DnD 5e, but started with 3.5e about 15 years ago. I've been a DM more often than not. I've played Star Wars Saga Edition, Star Wars EotE, a slew of campaign and rpg type board games and video games, and most recently I ran a group through the Daggerheart playtest.
I have been homebrewing a lot of 5e for a new campaign and learning more about different TTRPG systems such as the narrative 2d12 of Daggerheart, the 2d20 roll below of Modiphius (Dune, Star Strek, Achtung Cthulhu), and the high-octane roll a d6 and only a 6 succeeds of the Year Zero Engine (Alien RPG, Eldritch Automata).
It's hard to get the physical groups I try to be a part of to try systems other DnD's 1d20 roll high. It's time I roll initiative and seek those games elsewhere.
Despite seeming like a rules junkie, I value storytelling and the role-play above all else. The rules are in service to that goal and I enjoy learning to work within use each game's set of rules to their fullest.
All that being said, I have no idea how to end a post. Later!
