If this is a good time to introduce The Guardian/Lohapurusha, I can post this the game thread - of you think it works:

From the murky waters, between the party and the approaching wolfpack, what at first appeared to be a pile of stones sunk in the muck, begins to shift and rise, assembling and assuming a large humanoid form, faint flickers of electricity crackling over its surface. Two glowing eyes spark to life as the figure turns to take in the developing scene. A moment later, a more stones rise from the murk to form a massive glaive which takes shape as the figure assumes a defensive posture, positing itself between the humans and the onrushing beasts.
