"It does not." Laulalith looks thoughtfully at the professor. "Why do you ask? Do you think you'll only be free once the armour is removed from the Mournland? What about Klause, then? I assume he is bound to this place rather than the items in warehouse."

Klause & The Professor
"All very good questions. I presume his duty is to protect the contents of the warehouse, not the structure itself. That once the items are removed, his bond to this place will be released. As for the armour, I suppose we shall see if I am forced to follow you, or if the magic fades at Cyre's border. This is all hypothesis after all."

As the discussion continues, a grey light appears through the thin gap in the massive warehouse doors. The second watch sees the pale daylight of the Mournland. The Professor looks up excitedly. Klause seems far more nervous.
OOC:
You all complete a long rest.

Vice starts stretching and packing up his bedroll, he was shaking off the last of the nights sleep and ready to start moving. "Well Professor, hey, do you want us to keep addressing you as 'professor'? Anyway, we were given a job, and we intend to finish it. Although we weren't expect anyone to be here when we arrived. So I guess we should at least ask what you and Klause would like to do? and we'll see if we can accommodate you."

OOC:
Have we checked out all of the rooms of this warehouse by chance? Just want to make sure we didnt leave anything unchecked

Tryne awoke and packed his few things. Once his gear was packed, be began an inspection of the coach and wagon, checking the various mechanical items to ensure everything was in good shape for the return trip.

"Hey Vice, are there any rules about stealing salvage from other teams? I guess if you don't get caught, the rules don't matter. We had those riders shadow us at the start of the trip here. We should be watchful and ready on the return trip."
Jan 9, 2025 11:25 pm
Vice replies "I'm assuming that's exactly how it works. I'm sure we can handle two riders, but let's be cautious and quick on the way out nonetheless."

Klause & The Professor
The Professor nods to Vice, "Yes, we did not quite get to formal introductions. I am Professor Andreas Avgo and I am eager to get this experiment underway.", Klause says.

Klause straightens up to attention as the Professor introduces himself, "Right, I'm Klause. Uh, Guard of Cyre, I suppose...", he says with a proper salute, but trails off for a moment. "...I trust the Professor. Let's give it a go."

37 will walk with Meepo, making a final sweep of the facility to make sure nothing was overlooked, missed, or forgotten. When he returns to the others, he makes a suggestion.

"If I may? I advocate that as we exit, we do so on foot. Tryne will, of course, pilot the carriage. Once everyone is outside, we secure the doors again and then load up. The advantage is twofold -- it (hopefully) keeps this location relatively secure, and it leaves us outside ready to meet any ambush head on.

If it seems safe, we load up quickly and make haste towards Salvation."
Jan 9, 2025 11:58 pm
Torhak nodded with 37's suggestion, "Only other thing I might suggest is if we have something that can scout ahead, might be worth a look before we all go out."
Jan 10, 2025 1:15 am
"While I see the benefit of scouting ahead, I am hesitant to attempt it as we exit this facility. The doors are... problematic... and cannot be unlocked, opened, closed, and relocked quickly. I believe once the doors are opened, we need to move," the warforged replies.

He seems to pause, shifting to look at the team present. "However... I am not an authority figure. If the team agrees on a different approach, so be it. I can only offer advice based on my experience, observation, and analysis."

After walking around with 37 making sure that no room has been left untouched. Everything has been found and determined to take or leave Meepo puts on the new mask to see how it fits and to see if he can still talk through it.

He turns to 37 "Meepo agrees with 37. The outside has cliffs surrounding the door. Best to spread out unless someone goes invisible. Outside is a good ambush point and we should be careful and spread out to evaluate surroundings."

Klause follows the kobold and the warforged through the chambers. The two confirm there is nothing more to find except a few pieces of uniform, some parchment, a rather fancy looking pen and a couple dried up ink wells.

"I hope I’m gonna miss this place.", Klause says absentmindedly as he takes in the empty space.
OOC:
Let me know when you’re ready to move out.
Jan 10, 2025 12:24 pm
Tryne climbs up onto the coach preparing to ease the cart out of the doors. He does not activate the coach until everyone else able to exit and spread out. Talon jumps up on top of the coach where she road before.
OOC:

Ready.
Jan 10, 2025 1:17 pm
Torhak takes a position near the doors, ready to lift the bar and release the group back out into the Mournland, "Give me the word" he says to the group, letting them know he is ready.
OOC:
...Ready :)

Laulalith nods and takes her place next to Torhak. Then she turns to Meepo. "Can you fly out when we open this?"
OOC:
Ready!
Edit: Guidance on Meepo

37 also moves to the door. "Vice?"
Jan 10, 2025 3:45 pm
Vice is nonchalantly juggling in the background while watching everyone move around. "I can't imagine I'd be much help with the door, but I'm here if needed." he says
OOC:
ready
Jan 10, 2025 5:50 pm
Meepo nods to Laulalith. "Oh yea. Meepo will go straight up when we burst out the door and spread out." Meepo states as he hops on his broom.
OOC:
ready to fly out and straight up to see if any dangers lurk on the surrounding area of the doors.

37 and Torhak take a position at a lever on each side of the large doors. As everyone readies themselves, and Vice juggles, the two large men pull the levers and the large beam retracts. They each then push the doors open.

The rising sun is concealed by the rocky outcropping, but the grey sky of the Mournland shines with the growing morning light. Shadows still fill the large alcove that conceals the warehouse. The scorched earth of the vanquished fire elemental is still visible at the other end. The group now notices the whispers sound much louder outside of the chamber.

As Meepo flies out, he rises into the rays of dawn and finds his eyes do not feel its sting. He gets a clearer view of the rocky desolation to the west. The Professor cautiously approaches the opening with an expectant look on his ethereal face. Klause’s trepidation shows as he shrinks back slightly, failing to hide his massive frame behind the tiny Vice.
OOC:
Roll me a perception check.
