We’ll pretend he had that one prepared.
[ +- ] Aura of Vitality
Based on that, it’s 10 rounds of 7 hp. Looks like only Kalli and Laulalith took hits anyway. They can both be restored in the minute if they chose. The flavour will be the same.

Laulalith bows to the dragonmarked druid as the healing magic flows through her and restores her vitality. "It's a pleasure to meet you in this form as well, William Windchaser. I thank you for your help on again."

"It must be a hard life out her beyond the grey wall. I'm sure you have some interesting stories to tell."

William Windchaser
William joins Laulalith and Torhak in the wagon at the rear. "Indeed.", he gestures to his staff before setting it down, "This land is filled with creatures just as afflicted by the Day of Mourning as the people were. I have spent these past couple years looking for answers. Searching for any hint that there may be a remedy for the tragedy. Sadly, the more I search, the more questions I have."

He gestures out to the swamp, "This swamp is cursed by some deity. I haven’t found her lair yet. She must be very powerful to have caused all this. To the north a dreadful dragon fiercely defends his perceived territory, which includes a scar upon Khorvaire, the depths of which I’ve never seen. To the south, the Warforged have set up their new home. Some towns scoured clean off. In other towns, the dead wander the streets. Still others, the dead have vanished and their spirits are left to haunt it. The cursed forest in the east… Everywhere you go in the Grey seems to have been affected by every curse imaginable. This was not natural. Somehow, we did this.", he looks up to the waning moon of Nymm, peeking through the canopy. "If we did it, maybe we can fix it."

Torhak makes note that the creatures in the swamp seem to be getting more brazen. The red eyed creatures linger longer as they continue onward. As the night reaches its darkest, he can’t help but think there may be one more fight before they reach the mists’ edge.

Laulalith listens carefully to Windchaser's stories, but she silently draws a different conclusion. 'If we did this somehow, then it could be done again. It will be done again if the secrets fall in the wrong hands.'
OOC:
Does cart travel give us a short rest?
May 13, 2025 12:57 pm
OOC:
Everyone except 37, Kalli and Meepo (unless he dismounts his axe beak to ride the cart for a while) can take a short rest.
May 13, 2025 3:01 pm
OOC:
Meepo will dismount the axebeak and enter the carriage with their new companion in hopes to take a long rest in the carriage so that he can be fresh in case of any dangers (may or may not be possible to take a long rest but he is going to try until any of the drivers or co-pilots need to be changed out)
Meepo looks up at the new arrival as he speaks. "So do you think the diety that cursed this land is currently in this plane? Is it your guess that all these different things going on in the Grey is caused by the same diety or different curses by different dieties?"

Vice tries to keep Virtue talking and get more information from Leith; "If you don't mind me asking, what happened to you out there? We got lucky with some strange visions guiding us, but only have a rough idea. If Ikar's thugs have a way to track you, we should figure out how they're doing it."

"We need to keep a steady watch, and be ready to fight. The creatures in the swamp grow closer and closer" Torhak snorted as he grasped his hammer. It had been a weird coincidence that his shield was returned to him, but he would be glad to have it if they were to fight these creatures again.

37 begins to make good time now as he attunes to the cart. Though, Kalli and Stella need to take their time in the muddier parts of the path.

Dubdub ponders Meepo’s question, "I suspect a lesser goddess of some kind.", he answers after a moment. "The curse seems confined to the swamp. Since the waters outside the Mists show no signs of the curse, her power must come from the Mournland.", he says.

"The dark gods are above something like cursing a swamp. Perhaps a follower of the Shadow. It’s impossible to be certain of anything in here."

At Torhak’s words, the druid looks out into the swamp grimly, "I fear you’re correct, sir. The question is: do we wait till there are many, or do we deal with the ones we see?"

Leith
"Tarin is a surprisingly good tracker. We had hoped the threat of the creatures would keep them at bay. We’ve been through here a number of times and thought we could outfox them. Those beasts rarely come on shore in the day. At night is when they hunt.", Leith looks upon Virtue. "We know better than to drink the water…", he adds.

Virtue, Cursed
Virtue turns her head to look out the cart’s window. The bound goblin seems more lucid when she talks to Vice, though the croaking voice continues and Virtue does not seem to realize the situation she’s in, "We had to know for sure. Leith is very worried. I don’t see what’s wrong with it. It doesn’t taste bad. There’s something magical about it.", she says unconcerned, "And you still have your chakrams, I see.",

Virtue stares absentmindedly at the starless sky of the Grey, then looks back to the gnome. "You said you had a vision about… us?"
OOC:
Theres been enough time for a short rest if those wish to take it. The first half of the night has passed.

Let’s get another round of survival/perception checks. Due to fatigue setting in, it’ll be with disadvantage.

Vice fears getting stuck here, but he also fears losing Birute to this curse. He looks outside the cart for any signs of danger, but his is tired, and distracted as he splits his attention between talking and looking outside. "I do! And we found a very scary weapon dealer magic man who enchanted one of them for me. Now Envy does poison damage! Expensive, but semed like a good idea considering this new line of work."

Virtue, Cursed
Virtue retrieves a small hand axe from her pack, much heavier than her juggling axes. It looks nearly brand new, save some recent blood stains. The handle has a dark finish and the axe head is tempered blue. "I never thought to upgrade the Virtues with magic. I bought two new axes instead. I lost one already though. We should talk to your scary magic man about what he can do with Hope."

She sits in blissful silence for awhile, "Funny how we both sought something in the Mournland. Tell me about what you found. You’ve seen what happened when I went looking."
