Vice says to Mother Jahanah with a smile "I'll put my team on it. . . I think, I'm not the leader or anything. I'll ask at the very least. I'm going to stop talking and go now. Thanks again! " Vice catches up with the rest of the group to confront Ikar.

Leith shakes his head at the kobold, "I don’t know. People have a nasty habit of disappearing after they stay there.", he says as he enters the temple, "Bit I guess everyone stays there. Maybe it’s just the town…"

Meanwhile, Sheriff shackles and chains Tarin, who sits quietly with a creepy smile on his face. The large black minotaur is back a few moments later. "The other two are snoring in their cells, Sheriff. I'll bring this one back as well. ", He then drags Tarin to his feet and Sheriff. 37, Laulalith and Vice head toward the unscrupulous salvager’s hideout. The sound of Tarins chains fading into the distance.

The commotion has drawn the attention of a few of the town’s residents and they peer out through doors and windows before returning to their business when they see it’s the Guardians.

A few minutes later, they arrive in front of Ikar’s hideout. The house is eerily quiet. All the windows are black and all the horses are gone.

Sheriff says, "Stay back for a moment.", the lawforged says plainly, "He’s never really given me trouble before."

Tryne and Meepo, you’re free to join as well of course.

It was my intention to lower Tarin earlier and have the Sheriff restrain him. Maybe that wasn't made clear enough.
Laulalith follows Sheriff and approaches Ikar's hideout cautiously.

Edit: Rolled Deception instead of Perception because I failed my Investigation check to find my glasses. Please subtract 3 from the roll.

As he finished picking up guns and ammunition, Tryne looked at the coach sitting in the street. Perhaps he should secure it since it was unknown if there were any more men in the area.

I think Tryne has 5 pistols between Sassy and the 4 bandits. How much ammunition did he recover?

How far away is the church base? Can Tryne reasonably move the coach there while the others move over to Ikar's base.

I'm gonna say each of the others had four rounds of ammunition left on them. So, 28 rounds.

You can absolutely bring the cart to the church. Roll me a perception check on your way.

After sending the giant weasel to keep an eye out on the house that caught on fire Meepo and Ms Beaks travels down to check in on the sheriff and Laulilith.

Tryne hoped the others had enough fire power, but he did not want to leave their coach and salvage unprotected. Seemed like what they had returned with might have something to do with all this. Summoning Talon, the lion leaped back up on the coach. Tryne hopped into the driver seat and eased the coach forward, going slow because they were in town and wanting to get the coach back to the church without any issues.

Tryne activates the cart and the purple lightning sizzles to life. He goes around the back of town to avoid disturbing the townsfolk further. On his way, he sees his companions walking away toward the hideout. Quiet has retaken the town and he’s certain there are no further threats from Ikar’s men.

As he arrives at the hall, Famul pulls open the large doors to prepare for the approaching cart.

"welcome master Tryne… welcome master Tryne… the men have been watching… the men are gone now…"

Sheriff
Sheriff shakes his head, "There are always shady types in town. Ikar being one of them. "What happens in the Grey, stays in the Grey. Right?", he says dejectedly, "In town is supposed to be different. You must have found something he really wants."

Sheriff leaves the others behind and goes up the steps to the door. His metal fist pounds loudly against the thick wood. "Come on out, Ikar!", his usual quiet reserved tone is now replaced with a booming one. "Sassy’s dead. Tarin’s in a cell. Give it up!"

As the lawforged begins to pound a second time, the impact is met with a blinding green explosion. Ikar’s hideout is instantly turned into kindling as timber and glass fly in all directions. The cacophonous sound rings throughout town. Sheriff is thrown from the doorstep into the street. His body hitting the ground with a metallic clank. Windows across the street and next door are blown out.

From the Guardians base, Tryne hears the explosion and sees the green fireball fade into the night. Even in the night sky, he can see debris sent in all directions.
OOC:
I need the four of you to roll me a DC 15 dexterity save or take 24 points of bludgeoning damage and be deaf and blinded. On a save, take half damage and you are not affected by the light and sound.

As the green flame hurtles toward them, all Vice can think is 'Yeah, that seems about right for the way day this day is going' he is able to avoid the worst of the damage, though

Tryne sees the explosion in the distance as Ikar's base goes up in flames. "Shades..."

Turning to Famul, "Let's get the cart inside. We found something important that Ikar wants badly it seems."

Laualith takes the full force of the green blast. The light kinds her and concussive sounds rings loudly in her ears. The front door slams into the elf woman, knocking her flying into

Vice is able to cover his eyes and ears as the shockwave blasts the hideout apart. The little gnome is still pelted by small pieces of debris.

"Sher--" His words cut short by the explosion.

Fortunately, 37 was able to turn his head and cover himself just in time. Still, the ringing in his auditory receptors was loud enough -- he can only imagine if he hadn't shielded himself as well as he had. He moves to Sherrif's side, intent to heal the Lawforged.
