Crowley has been focusing on
other illusions, as you turn to face him you see that he was in the process of fading from view, as though making himself invisible, possibly to escape and leave you to your own devices.
Your hand is still reaching for the illusory doorknob, intent on using it to get out, and you see a moment of panic on Crowley's face.
"No. Don't use that!" He says, giving up on his own escape and launching himself, bodily, at you, trying to tackle you away from the door.
At the same moment you feel the doorknob become palpable under your hand, and Crowley's tackle fights with the pull of the knob ... but is too weak, and you tumble out the door ... into the decorative garden the map indicated was behind the church.
You find yourself in a small stone room [
streetview]. The door vanished before you.
You emerge into the light, and turn to look. The stags horns (is that what they are?) [
streetview] on the building, give you the willies...
Wait? Light? It is daylight outside, and the blue sky has only the slightest hint of clouds. The air smells different.
Where are you? At least you can assuredly say it would be inappropriate to say 'where the HELL are you', this is not hell.
Crowley, your rival, definitely gave up their chance to fade into the background and escape, all to try to stop you from passing through that door.
Did you drag them with you, or are you alone?
What do you do?
