Nice move, @Eltesla ! I was hoping to get the machine cursed with -5 so we can safely deplete its dice. With the suicidal pump, I think the machine will only have 2 or 3 dice vs. Shield Maiden!

Haha… my crappy roll wins the day! I was gonna go with a weak stat, either strength or hopeless romantic (even typed up the speech), but Sunshine & Rainbows is really the perfect power to thwart a weather machine.

@Eltesla , obviously up to you whether Rocketeer would reveal/mention the nanites within her armor to Small Fry. But what I was thinking to revive a nanite die is that SF would go into the armor and find out why the nanites aren’t naniting.

Wherever this would go, SF wouldn’t learn your character’s identity since, at the subatomic level, she just looks like an endless mass of atoms.

That's a cool idea, but I don't think Rocketeer would trust Small Fry enough to do so at this point.

Hope that's okay, if a little long. Was trying to strike a balance between catching up, contextualizing why I'm there, and not dragging out the aftermath by asking a bunch of questions.

To clarify my OoC comment:
^This is what I will RP, regardless of whether I lose or gain dice.
^This is a question as to whether I could use this play to recover a die, but with a stake (where I am more likely to lose a die).

In any case, I’m basically setting up SF to fail here.

I'm thinking NPC romance mechanics will vary wildly, depending on the specific NPC.

Someone already likes you, and is drunk and horny? Might just be a low target number roll to bang 'em.

Someone is ambivalent? You might have to roll numerous single action conflicts with 'em, and win the majority to even have a shot.

Someone hates you? They might immediately initiate combat!

Funny, in battle, SF has remained pretty much unscathed but for that +3 pump. Post-battle, she’s getting her butt kicked!

I think Small Fry is all set. As noted in the OoC text, she intends to play with the friendly dog to replenish her emotional dice. After that, she’ll focus on her shrinking power.

If you’re good with a monologue RP, I might do that. But I’m also okay with you going to next day, if other players are good to move forward.
