OOC

Here is a place for people to talk out of character (OOC).

Our adventure starts in a way similar to the movie, The Hangover. Player characters wake up outside near a street in the town. No one can remember last night's antics very well, and there may be some rather mysterious problems that need to be resolved.

At the beginning of Chapter 1, describe what unusual things have happened to your character. We'll work together to decide on some suitable plot hooks and minor quests.

Hello, When I'm trying to get information for someone I need to make a roll?
Nov 22, 2024 11:11 pm
That depends. If it's information pertaining to your backstory, you might not need to make a roll. Otherwise, I might call for a ln Intelligence check of some kind. What kind of information do you seek?

It's in a situation like in the chapter 1, where my character is asking if someone know what happened

If you want to roll to see what you remember, roll a History check with disadvantage. You can also roll an Investigation check to gather clues based on your surroundings. I'll get started on a response post soon.

Okaay, thanks

By the way, are you drawing your character? It looks good!

Thank you!! I'm practicing some simple drawings, and I thought it would be cool to try drawing this character haha!

Welcome, Corvuska. Once you get your character set up, let's discuss how we're going to introduce your character into the story.

Hello, welcome Corvuska!!!

Gods, Delvane is not good at persuading people haha

2 rolls with a 4
Nov 24, 2024 6:57 pm
Hah! Yeah, those first two rolls were tragic.

In the future, let's not bother with dice rolls during RP, unless the circumstances are exceptional. Sometimes it's best to reserve dice for combat, thievery, etc.

Ohh okay I'll keep that in mind, the last time I played the GM asked for rolls in every action, then I kept this in my head haha

Do you have a preference as to which form for character sheet we use? I didn't notice a preference as to our point distribution but I'm driving and at work. I assume the standard 16, 14, 13, 12, or what ever it is because that seems to be the one most people use.
Nov 25, 2024 9:15 pm
When creating mine I used the distribuition from the free rules on the DnD beyond 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8

Use whichever character sheet you prefer. The standard 5E character sheet is fine, for our purposes. For stats, you can take the standard array, or do point buy. Either one works.

Level 1 yes?

Emberskyes says:
Level 1 yes?
Indeed!

I love this Dezd character that Badbaron has put together. You have clearly done your homework, my friend.

I will have Dezd enter the fray during our first combat encounter (I think it's coming soon 😁).
