Daniel slips into the doorway and thrusts his rapier into the chest of the nearest skeleton, severing ribs and nicking the spine. Just as the skeleton reaches for him, Daniel spins away and slides further back down the hallway.

A charred skeleton ambles up to the doorway, filling the empty space. It reaches towards Maenor, but does not draw near.

With most of the party outside the room, everyone can clearly see that the undead appear unable or unwilling to cross the threshold. It takes a few minutes, but secure in the knowledge that the skeletons cannot harm you, you whittle them down until they are nothing more than inanimate piles of broken bone.

Meanwhile, Coda reaches the other chamber with the rusted swords and shields, and stands before the closed door.

Coda approaches the door and tries to open it as quietly as he can, he'll send a command to his servant to bang on the door he did before as he opens his.

Just to note: Unseen Servant might of ended as I think I moved 60 feet away from it.

Coda cracks the door open silently, and his nose is assailed by the smell of rotting flesh. Even before he opens the door further, he hears the sound of several knocks on the far side of the room. As the light spills into the chamber, Coda can see that the zombies are gathered by the other door.

You're good on the range between yourself and the servant. I am assuming you brought your torch.

Coda draws his sling and loads it with a bullet, flinging it at one of the zombies. He'll move off to the side out of the view of the door.

I rolled advantage for being hidden, if it was just flavor wise and not mechanic wise and I'm not "hidden", I'll use the inspiration die I have for advantage.

The bullet smacks into the back of the zombie's head. It turns and begins to head for the north door, followed by the others.

Back in the room with the former-skeletons, the others hear a knock at the far door, like three evenly-spaced taps against the wood. They are unable to see what might have caused the noise.

Coda can hear the dragging pace of the zombies nearing the door he left open. Then the sound stops, replaced by a shuffling noise like something is moving in place.

Kalis moves into the skeleton room and tries to open the north door to see the status of the zombies.

The zombies are gathered by the northern door, which is open; they are not moving beyond its threshold.

Kalis can see that a few of the zombies have turned their heads in his direction, and seem ready to move towards him.

Coda calls out to the other side of the room "Careful, they can't pass through over here but I don't know if I can say the same for over there." he mentally commands his servant to close the door as he loads another bullet and swings it towards the same zombie.

Coda's bullet tears off a chunk of rotted flesh from the zombie in front of his door. It reaches its arms out for him when he appears.

The door in front of Kalis closes by itself, leaving him alone with a carpet of bones.

Maenor can see the zombies at the threshold, arms reaching out. They do not cross over.

Not wanting to leave Kalis alone, Daniel steps into the skeleton room, rapier drawn and ready to assist.

Once the southern door is closed, all zombies refocus their attentions on the open portal where Coda and Maenor are. They stretch their arms beyond the doorway, reaching for the halfling and elf, but their feet do not cross the threshold.
