Mothership 1e - Dying Hard on Hardlight Station

The Pitch:
Welcome to Hardlight Station, a small yet bustling commercial outpost orbiting at the edge of the Epsilon Eridani system. Despite its remote location, Nakatomi Solutions Inc. (the company running it) offers privacy and seclusion for any organization willing to pay the cost of renting space. As residents or frequent visitors to the station, PCs have been invited to the yearly Nakatomi Christmas Eve party. But that rumbling clatter on the night of the party is not Santa Claus and his sleigh - it's the Blackshield Mercenary Company, come to do some corporate espionage. And in the bowels of the station, something horrific stirs as the raid begins. A night on Hardlight Station is one you won’t soon forget.

Content Warning:
Mothership is a sci-fi horror game so there will be violence, gore, body horror, and swearing. In general, I will stick to an equivalent of an R rating for the game. In addition, Mothership is a deadly system, so character death is always a possibility.

Game Duration and Post Frequency:
The module is designed as a one-shot and, with a posting frequency of 5 times per week, will probably take a month or two to finish.

How to Apply:
I am looking for 3-5 players. If interested, just reply in this thread. No prior experience with Mothership is required. Character creation will happen in the game forum once the players join. I will leave this post up for about a week and then choose players at that time. It will not be first come, first served and only people with completed profiles will be considered. This game is explicitly friendly to LGBTQ+ and any other minorities or marginalized groups.

After watching the Quinns Quest review and hearing so many good things in general, I'd love to give Mothership a shot.

Is the Player's Survival Guide enough to play?

That's perfect! All the other books are mostly for the Warden.

This sounds awesome. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the bandwidth to commit to it. I do however have some concept art for a character: :-)

I'm definitely interested. I've heard a lot of great things about the game and am curious how it plays, particularaly vs. the Alien RPG.

I'd like to give Mothership a try, especially in a compact game with a tight, defined ending.

@runestone That is the inspiration for this module! They even have a section to make a beefier solo PC to play full Die Hard mode. LOL

@redcroc The inspiration was not that hard to spot. It's right there in the title after all :)

I was expecting to join another game, but that is not going to happen, so now I have more time on my hands than I anticipated, so I would like to officially express my interest in this. Because it still sounds awesome. :)

Ready for dying hard, if there are roles available. I'm a new player here, but pretty experienced in PBP in general.

I'm pretty new to PBP and RPGs in general, but I've read most of the Mothership player handbook and thinks it's great. Would love to get in on this if you have the room.
