✅ The Game System and Rules Version.
DnD 5e, 2024 free edition. No other content allowed (with a very few exceptions to be described in game)
✅ The Pitch
This will be a heroic fantasy adventure in a dark fantasy/gothic horror setting. Your character should be a hero, or have the potential to swiftly become a hero when faced with a life-or-death situation. Be prepared to cooperate and collaborate with the other players in order to succeed.
This campaign takes place in a setting with a deep history, including complex relationships between several dozen non-player characters. You should expect to keep notes and take a sincere interest in the lore of this world.
✅ Adult Content or Controversial Themes.
This is what I read - you will not get involved directly but story will involve lot of potentially uncomfortable topics: Child abuse and death; Torture and mutilation; Mind control; (Implied) incest; Stalking and (symbolic) sexual assault; Suicide; Drug addiction; Body horror; Racism
On my as a player experience the most uncomfortable feeling were your PCs inability to fix it or feeling you have when your attempt only made things worse.
✅ Character Restrictions.
Mechanically you are restricted to 5e 2024 free rules, but logically there are more, see game page for details
✅ Game Duration and Post Frequency
I hope to keep a post per day outside social interaction and keep it even more frequent when PC is involved in conversation with an NPC. But we may seldom slow down when any player or DM asks for that in advance. I can work our a slower peace on weekends.
Duration? As long as you stay with me. Module takes years in real life, here on PBP may take up to a decade.
✅ Specialized Software and Resources.
Discord - mandatory. Roll20 - optional (you may benefit of looking at maps on roll 20 and organized handouts from there)
✅ Player Experience Requirements.
I welcome any, but I read that module is not best content for new 5e players.
It is not prohibited for players to have experience or knowledge of anything explained in "van richten's guide to ravenloft", but keep that as a meta-game-info. Your PCs are not supposed to have that knowledge unless they succeed an appropriate DC intelligence check as called by DM.

You are still with me? Surprisingly. Please read check game content warnings and description and character creation restrictions in game page. Still here? I repeat - this is deadly, not fair game supposed to be horrific not heroic. Here game is relentless, not your PCs.
