Character Creation
Follow the Character Creation steps at the OSE SRD, with the following changes:
1. Roll 4d6, drop lowest, six times, and assign to your attributes in whatever way you wish. If you choose to play a Human, you may roll seven times instead, and choose the six highest results. If you somehow manage to roll abysmally, I will allow you to make some tweaks.
2. Choose a Race. Pick one of the options in the People thread. Elves and Dwarves receive their regular racial traits, but will still get to choose a Class later on.
3. You can decide to Multi-Class (see house rules), selecting two (or more) classes for your character. XP will be capped at 600,000, so you can have a pretty good idea of where you will end up by the time the campaign ends.
4. HP for first level is maxed. Post that you roll normally.
5. Known Languages: Traladarn is known by all characters for free, and serves as the Common tongue in Karameikos. We are not using Alignment Languages. You may pick additional Languages (at least 1), based on your Intelligence score. Thyatian is still spoken by the Thyatian nobility, and by the original Thyatian settlers and the majority of their descendants. Both nations of Elves speak the same Elven tongue, with only slight changes due to dialect.
6. Skill Proficiencies (see house rules): Select four skills, plus the same number as the 'known languages' bonus according to your Intelligence. The skills are 'free form', you can select whatever makes sense for your character's background, but they can't be too broad in scope, and are always tied to one specific attribute. Additional Skill proficiencies can be acquired when you advance (1 extra skill at levels 4, 8 and 12)
