Posting some stuff in here just to have it somewhere findable.

Active Agent / Arachnomorph

My character is originally from Longshot City but was recruited by the military only to then be selected for a special path (might be worth deciding why, or keeping it as a mystery). They (haven't decided on gender yet, but leaning towards female) were taken to a secret government facility where their body was modified with high-tech implants that allow them to morph into a robotic spider-y shape. This gives them some special abilities, including enhanced strength, the ability to walk up walls, to create a strange 'web-like' substance and to use this substance to glide.
They have then been engaged in advanced training programs, many of them in VR to prepare them for both frontline combat and infiltration missions using their newly enhanced body. However, their abilities have never been tested in real situations yet, since their training was interrupted by the death of the Sentinel Squadron. Knowing that a new team would rise to (try and) take its place, the agency sent in my character to be part of this new team. That way, they would be able to directly exert influence on the team and get regular reports back.

My character is loyal to the agency, not having any reason to mistrust them (yet) even if not all of the modifications were entirely voluntary. However, they are also glad to be back in their home city after some years, hoping to rekindle some old friendships and acquaintances.

Dig it. A few questions and comments:

Are you seeing them created and trained by a corporation with a military / government contract, or were they put together by an actual gubbermint program?

Really like the idea of them still being in training when they are suddenly forced into the field, and that they are likely seen as loyal to the agency (which we should probably link to the Squadron) -- moreso than the other independents that have come forward.

After you settle a couple of the details, I'll be back with more questions...

Hm, good question. I do think my character signed up for the military and then got shuffled out of regular training and into this super-soldier test program. I think I'd say it was run by the secret government agency themselves, but maybe they heavily involved a private contractor in it. And, of course, if things were to go sideways, the government never knew about any of this!

Lots of ways to go with this. Another question -- what's the source of their powers? Bio-enhancements, implants? A full suit they have to get into? When you explore the corners you start to see you're not as locked in as it first appears.

Any chance you're gonna submit soon?

Sorry. Holidays and early shift wrecked me a bit. I submitted a sheet now

Alrighty! Thanks for getting Kai submitted.

Minor Stuff...

Wealth should be listed as Disposable Income (0).

Under Notes, you might want to add Top Secret Clearance with JANUS and list / describe The One Contact You Can Trust. (Those are both from the Active Agent origin.)

Please add in Etiquette 1 as an Advanced Skill, and the damage for your Energy Blast (4, 6, 6, 8, 12, 22, 38). Also go ahead and fill out the Skill and Total entries if you would. (Skill is 6 for Kai, Total is Skill + Power Rank.)

Would it be helpful for me to list your power descriptions, or do you have those to hand?

Will do those edits when I'm at my computer.

Having the listings would probably be helpful.

Looking good, thanks. Love the character art!

Kai's Powers:

Superstrength (Power)
Great for breaking sturdy things and moving heavy things. Whenever you deal physical damage with an unarmed attaCk, hand-to-hand weapon, or thrown weapon, multiply your damage result by your Superstrength rank. Example: Gronk succeeds in hitting Nab with an unarmed attack. He rolls 1d6 and consults the unarmed damage table. His result is five, which normally does two points of damage. Gronk then multiplies the result by his Superstrength (3), for a total of six damage.

Wall Crawling (Power)
Whether with claws, some kind of gravity manipulation, or just general stickiness, you can stick to walls and ceilings as easily as floors. You only need to roll for this when rolling versus or carrying significantly more than your own weight.

Web Spinning (Power 3)
You can produce incredibly strong and sticky web strands that dissipate harmlessly into the air after a few hours have passed. This can be used to immobilize enemies at range, build makeshift objects such as shields or hang gliders, or to make an area practically impassable.

Suggestion (Power 3)
An NPC believes something you tell them. If anything makes them rethink the situation, they realize their mistake, but they won’t question it unprompted.

Gliding
Similar to Flight, but you can’t hover or gain lift without some sort of an updraft.

Fly (Power) [Including this only because Gliding references it]
You can fly or hover at will. You don’t usually need to roll for this, only when rolling versus or
under stress.

Etiquettes
This skill allows you to interact in certain social environments as if you belong there. You can persuade NPCs to help you, ignore you, or believe you. Types of social environments include: High Society, Academia, Military, Emergency Services, and Street Culture.

Energy Blast (Power 3)
An energy attack. Most PCs with this power must choose a type of energy at character creation.
Psychic - Only affects living beings. Ignore armor. Choose: K.O., coma, kill.

Please choose your Energy Blast effect -- KO, Coma, Kill.
