Arthos Savage, 1920s circus strongman of the erstwhile Ringo Brothers Travelling Circus which stood where the current Tanglewood Amusement Park now occupies. Anton Strangeways, vaudeville thespian of the Forties before the war closed down the Hollis Theatre Company. Alden Styx, stage magician and illusionist of the rockstar Eighties, famous for his death-defying levitations over the Oakwood Strip entertainment district. Atrophy the Sinecure, B-list supervillain, whose crew the Titanic Terrors was defeated, disbanded and imprisoned by the Sentinel Squadron.

All alter-egos of Andrei Svarozhit, fallen and forgotten godling of the Slavic pantheon, left to weaken and wither far away from European soil. The erstwhile deity would have gradually perished were it not for the last vestige of his power: the ability to possess a host body. The result gave the host body superhuman strength and endurance, but only as long as Andrei remained in control, which he could only do for short periods of time. The human host was still subject to the ravages of time, which meant Andrei had to continue to find new hosts over the decades in order not to entirely dissipate into the deific ether.

After the defeat of his team, staying in prison would've meant a literal death sentence for Andrei. So with the 'help' of a prison guard, he broke out and sought refuge in one of his old haunts, the defunct Hollis & Oak Theatre, whose backstage adjoined a pocket realm depending on which curtains were drawn, swearing to lie low for the next decade or so.

Two things happened that changed this. The first was the defeat of the Sentinel Squadron in the Battle of Worlds. His enforcers, and many other heroes, no longer existed. The second was a touch more inexplicable, the stuff that Slavic folklore was made of. He awoke one morning to find a newborn baby left on his doorstep, or more accurately on centerstage. His entropic touch meant that picking up the child aged him immediately into a toddler. And in the subsequent days Andrei grew to foster the youngling, the child grew to a hale and hearty teenager, a symbiotic vessel for Andrei's waning powers.

Now, the paternal Andrei Svarozhit had purpose again, with his new lease of life and a chance to start afresh. Andrew Sullivan, soon-to-be freshman at Hampton College, is ready to resume the mantle of Atrophy, once he manages to find a more positive-sounding superhero name, with Andrei nearby enough as the newly hired History teacher on campus!

So basically I merged all the features of whatever I rolled up into one big backstory, let's see if the above works.

Paragon for the superstrength, absorb damage, flight.
Couldn't decide on Possessed vs Fledging Deity, so I decided to steal a bit of both, using the complication I rolled from Paragon (about the two selves). Original guy needs to possess another person in order for the superpowers to manifest, explains why he's been possessing people over the decades.
Picking the Entropic option of Energy Blast, and leaning into the bit that says it ages targets rapidly.
Possessions gives me Secret Lair, so it's kind of a little pocket dimension behind the stage one can only access through some chicanery or magic or something.

As for PC connections, I figure if Andrei has been around for decades, he might know in some capacity or other
- the vampire
- the age old psionic
- the time traveler
- the other deity

So I'm open to linking them up.

Alrighty, a meaty background -- dig it!

It was a stretch to incorporate both Origins, but you got there. However, mechanically, you have to choose one since they offer specific benefits. Which are you going with? (They are not just flavor, they will set your Wealth level, give you extra skills, etc.) You're going with Possessed?

Looking forward to seeing the sheet for this!

Yeah Possessed is fine, no need to game it to try to get the Luck ability that comes with the Fledgling Deity.

Character concept is some weird mash up of Shazam, Firestorm and Jericho, if you're wondering!

Lookin' good. Just fill in the damage values when you can (Unarmed and Energy Blast)... and the entries for Stature, Hair, Eyes, Smile if so desired.

Thanks for the updates. Hope you don't mind that I dropped your Possessed skill onto your sheet as well, and changed the 7+ for Unarmed to 12 rather than 16.

Looking good!

Final Review! Looks good. Where's the lair? Can define in play if you want.

Way ahead of it! I described the defunct Hollis & Oak Theatre above. In line with the possession schtick, I've defined it as a spirit realm pocket dimension, 'backstage', drawing a certain set of curtains allows access to it.

The lair is very much like a backstage, with rooms for resting, dressing, storage for equipment and sets, Not ultra-slick like a Batcave with all the fancy stuff nor remote like the Fortress of Solitude, but secure enough, certainly with decades worth of stuff he's accumulated, and a bit spooky and musty.

Ah yes! Read that, then promptly forgot about it!
