[IC] Conan d20 2e

I like the setting, I like the low-key magic of the two classes that can even use it, so what could go wrong?

Definitely won't happen before January, so this is just a measure-up interest check, whether I should prepare with something eventually.

I'm game for some sword & sorcery action.

Yes, I've been a Robert Howard fan for many years, not to mention the rest of the Lovecraft Circle. So much so that half the characters I've played are inspired by Conan. Or, it would be more accurate to say that half the characters I play are inspired by Groo the Wanderer by Sergio Aragones. So be warned: I tend to get a little tongue-in-cheek in my role-playing.

I like to try "Conan The Role Playing Game Second Edition". It looks interesting. I have that download. :)

Heh. I have hard copies of the original RPG books. I used to freelance as a reviewer for a d20 fanzine and received free products for a good part of the early 2000's.

It wont be hard to determine what I want to play.

Ok, we now know that there is interest in this. Later on I'll make a game with more specific info and do proper recruitment.

It's not even half of January yet, and I was hoping my Sunless Sea game would take off, but it seems to have already stalled. Which means I'm going to find a new focus, probably this idea. We'll see in about a week how much inspiration sizzles up in my mind.

I'm thinking level 7 to start with. Established adventurers / mercenaries. Part of a mercenary group, taking jobs for money. A smart and charismatic leader, with a strong talent for making good deals and keeping the band well-equipped and well-connected. Someone who does not go adventuring, at least not any more.

Using the Solodark document, I random-generated the following dungeon names, pick a favorite for your first mission:
¤ temple of the arachnid sisters
¤ barrow of the frozen emperor
¤ fane of the forgotten mage
¤ ravine of the glass guild
¤ citadel of the fallen god

Barrow of the Frozen Emperor is my favorite

I go for "Citadel of the Fallen God"...
