You guys really aren’t afraid that, one day, you won’t have a relentless streak of extremely successful defense rolls.

(Well that, and you know I don’t kill PCs off.)

160 cm or inches?

I’m good with it either way, so here’s a thought (which you can change if you don’t like it)—

• On a 💢MISS, you can grow up to 62.99 inches (160 cm), but you become flightless and wingless. (You pass for human.)
• On a 💥HIT, you can grow up to 62.99 inches (160 cm) and keep your flight and wings. Or you can grow to any size from 63 to 160 inches, but you are flightless and wingless at these large/giant sizes.
• On a 💥💥COMBO, you can grow up to 160 inches, with flight and wings intact!

In any case, if you want to be normal sized, you can be regardless of the roll. If you don’t want giant size as an option (like you meant 160 cm), I have another thought on how the combo would be different from the hit.


For the attack, the roll would remain the same, but the damage would increase with growth.

Since Mr. Jones is a hatbro too, I was thinking of getting some kind of magic hat. At first, I was thinking of a thrown hat attack like Oddjob or Kung Lao. But that seems more like a stunt than magic. Maybe Casey can pull things out of her hat ? I'm not sure yet.

Pulling an item out could be like, on a hit, you get the thing. On a combo, it works better than expected or you get an extra use. On a miss, it does something unexpected and probably not in a good way.

(Pretty much, that’s the Masks Outsider’s Alien Tech move.)

Orlando has scarier reptiles and amphibians than anything you can find around "Monster Land," but still, check out this creature I rescued from my swimming pool.

Its tail was caught in the grate (of the skimmer basket). We used sandbox toys to push and pry, saving the salamander tail and all.

Brainiac, you are probably familiar with my format of bloodying the floors of cleared areas.

Regarding the arena, I used to create my own Doom II levels. One level was a bullfight arena, which included a fence that you would start behind. And where that blue door is was a gate that slowly opened at level-start, so the demons rushed out.

There was also only one weapon available, which you will discover in the next round. (Maybe Murasaki will want it?)

—EDIT: oh, and I just remembered there was a pickup where the player spawned! I’ll put that in the next room, since it’s similar to what I had already planned anyway.


I loved making maps that left you poorly armed. But my friends did not appreciate only having a shotgun to take on a cyberdemon. (A cyberdemon dies after 54 shots, but if you get close, you inflict triple damage, killing him in 18 shots. Or he kills you in… I think, 1 shot.)
