The Prince of Darkness is absent.

The Archons of Hell bicker, scheme, and conspire.

Sedition. Desertion. Usurpation.

The herald came in the form of a great silver box of exquisite design with seven closed eyes, one on each side. The vexing artifact sat in the centre of the hall of the sixty six dark thrones, for all to behold, as the sixty six Archons were summoned to their daises. A solemn silence settled just before the wretched lords uttered in unison their grave salute:

Why have the celestial come to the kingdom of death and agony?

Just popping in to recommend BedzoneII as a GM. His deft skills will bring this cool game to life and showcase your character the way few GMs do.

I have no idea what this is about. I'm in.

A vibrating hum elevated in crescendo, shaking the hall to its foundations until suddenly the seven closed eyes opened, and the box unraveled itself in a marvelous convolution. Within, a naked, divine child stood proudly, facing defiantly the myriad, malformed hordes of darkness.

Princelings of condemnation, heed well! Your rebellious nature has brought your own reign under strife. In the Morningstar's absence, the abrogation of your duties risks cosmic balance.
Restore your infernal hierarchy to order,
remove your deserters from the realm of man,
reject the pretenders to power.
You have until dawn, else we will declare war, storm your gates, and impose the iron will you lack."

Thanks for the flattering call out Qralloq! I'll be wanting a very particular sort of character development for this one! Esidrix, noted on the enthusiasm, thanks! I might not be doing first-come-first-served, but you're definitely on the list.

For anyone following this teaser, go ahead and roll d66 to see which Archon you serve.

I was watching this passively from a flying height, but you can't tell me that I can roll something and don't expect an immediate effect! :3 (I still want more information about the game, but why not throw some dice for fun.)

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Apocalypsis Ioannis VI.viii

With the ultimatum delivered by the angelic messenger, an explosion of blinding white light filled the dark palace, cowing even the grim death lords. The ssereph was gone, and an outrage soon broke among the ranks of the defiled as they fractured and retreated into their own circles to resume their scheming in a cacophony of blasphemy and cursing that announced the arrival of dusk and the beginning of a Hell Night.

On a pale horse, you have been summoned by your dread lord.

Spindled into an unbreakable cocoon that bound them from head to foot, they were finally allowed into the presence of their archon lord, Arrah the Crippled, whose multi-eyed cephalothorax, each orb twice as wide as a human was long, saw everything, whose eighth appendage ended at the trochanter, its remnant a lost unclaimed relic, maimed in the ancient celestial war, whose web connected everything in the vastness of the Circle of the Spiteful, who now spoke, "You will cross Limbo to the realm of man, and there find [......]. Else there forever remain in exile unless you return with the prize."

They brought one of their limbs, self-maimed, as tribute to ungate the endless feeding pit, the Circle of the Unsound, of Karios the Afflicted, whose derangement was felt even before their hyena form was witnessed, before the charnel of the rabid assaulted their senses, before they finally heard the crack of the bones of the eternally condemned, chewed by their archon lord, who paused from their feeding to say, "Bring back only the right thighbone and the sternum, filled with the honey of six dead hives, of [......]. The rest you must devour in the realm of man, and also the ordure."

[for Esidrix]
The detritus of the giant womb could still be seen in the event horizon, including the vestigal umbilicus, six thousand leagues long that formed the Circle of the Banal, in the middle of which was the third eye of the slobbering, the pustulant, the repugnant Yorul the Infant, whose saliva ate through the layers of Hell one by one until it threatened to burn through the firmament, whose pacifier, Mount Megavalanche itself, burst out of their mouth long enough for them to cry "Want [......], give me [......] now!"

[for Verrain]
Through the water pipe they were flushed, its ichorous acid eating away at their demonic flesh, a infinite hookah of smoke and bubbling, as they were inhaled and expectorated by the blind vulture, Echaron the Meek, where all addictions come to ferment, swirling in the Circle of the Undecisive, a chunderous pottage, "Let the others have their carrion, with the carcass of [......], the last picking shall be first prevailing. Go now."
