Chapter 4: Level 3 dungeon

Nyx moves ahead, remaining invisible between the party and Zim who scouts ahead of Nyx. Nyx maintains mental communication with Tante, as a solid anchor point, and leads the party. His suggestion is to head towards the south to the crawlspace on the east, past the water corridor.

As Zim scouts ahead of the party, Nyx relays all he sees and hears through his familiar to Tante.

In the corridor he listens at the doors and checks to see if there are any gaps, cracks, or keyhole to see beyond the doors, listens at them for sounds. If nothing is detected he goes invisible and tries to quietly open one.

I fly into the hall to back up Nyx, from about 10 feet behind him.

Orsik will have the barbarians back. Hammer in hand shield at the ready.

"Those double doors look easy enough."

Tante Lude also moves forward behind the front 3 to stand ready.

Nyx could hear the magic words he chats as part of guidance spell echoing through the corridor. He see doors are very hihg quality most probably made by dwarf. Doors has no keyhole and they swing inward on rusty hinges to reveal the room beyond.

Ten feet from the doors, a thick tapestry curtain hangs from wall to wall. Its embroidery shows a scene of merriment: nobles feasting around a banquet table, a roast boar on a platter, and servants pouring wine.

"See. Much better. No ghosties. Probably some death trap instead."

"Any clues or guesses as to what the banquet pictures would indicate as a course of action to avoid the inevitable death trap?"

"Who will pull back the curtain? Our invisible guide?" Orsik is ready for anything.

"The room is rather barren for clues. Seems it is all behind that hidden curtain."
