Unable to make character

Hello,

I’ve been experiencing an issue where I try to create a character after creating a label and choosing a system. Once I press "create", the website gets stuck on a loading screen indefinitely (longest I waited was 30 minutes).

I have tried to using a different browser, logging out and in again and simply waiting it out but nothing seems to work. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Does this occur for all systems, or just a specific one? I've never seen this before, and I can currently make character sheets for custom. Might be something to do with the outdated sheet templates?

I'm also experiencing this issue. Specifically, I'm trying to make a character for Pathfinder 2e.

You might want to try using the system "Custom". I think the built in systems are largely deprecated now.

Open it up and click "Create Character"

Create a new custom sheet and select Pathfinder 2e in the top RHS

Are you using sheets that are listed in a drop-down in the character sheet page, or are you getting them from the repository?

Yeah, Pathfinder 2e results in infinite loading for me too. As others mentioned, you should probably just use Custom - these have better functionality anyway. :D (Maybe the site should get rid of the option to make new sheets with old templates - at least the broken ones.)

Thank you all for responding, using a custom sheet as Adam suggested did the trick! I guess using the drop-down menu for "System" results in the infinite loading.

It's only specific templates that don't work; some of the drop-down templates are still functional - 13th Age and DnD, for example. Although most people seem to prefer custom ones anyway. :'D

Ran a test through all the GP character sheets using T for my label and running through every system one by one:It's also worth noting that well not an extensive test I can create a character sheet with the exact matching Label on a custom sheet but when I attempted to make a second with the same Label with a World of Darkness Sheet it wouldn't load.

If someone else or a few people want to test a few of the sheets from each list to see if it's the same issue that could give us some more information.

Retested With a Different Label Every Time as Label overlap seems to be causing some sort of Issues:

I believe it was said before that since the custom sheets are an option, fixing these failing drop-down menu sheets would be very low priority.

Custom is definitely the way to go 😁.

I checked the ones marked as not working.
-- D&4e, Spycraft 2.0, Numenera, Savage Worlds loaded immediately.
-- Hellfrost, PF2e, PbtA, The Strange never loaded.
-- The rest loaded when I refreshed the page and tried again.

SO then I checked the ones marked as working.
-- Custom worked the first time but not the second time, as did 13A.
