Dying to play

I'm brand new to PBP, but I'm an old-school D&D nerd from back in the red box Basic set days. I graduated to First Edition, but hung it up in college. I've recently been working on a 5e homebrew, but had to put it on hold when I had to move for my job. I'm a single father, so it was hard enough trying to work out some play time, let alone trying to do it in a new town. I heard about this on The Dungeon Masters Block and thought I'd give it a try.

Welcome McDunno! We have a number of parents/recent parents here, who've all found their gaming time limited but want to keep going. There's plenty of 5e around here, but a good mix of other systems too if you're looking to try something different. And a lot of people here do game design work, some for fun, some in hopes to make a viable product, so I'm sure you can get feedback on your homebrew too! (We had that "Let's build a system!" thread, maybe we should do occasional "Let's build a race/class/etc" threads!)
