OSR Explorers OOC

A huge part of the appeal of the OSR (and related NSR) is its modularity (borrowing from other systems, bolting on your own bits) and really making things your own, tuning a game full of elementally familiar components (STR, DEX, d20s, saves, combat rounds, etc.) to fit the vibe, tone and experience you’re after.

Basically, it’s okay for designers to rob, steal, borrow, evolve, build on, integrate, stitch together, innovate… it’s a beautiful thing. The best games name their influences, and even what bits came from where.
