We have to PAY to explore space and save humanity? This game must have been written by an American.

I'll dig into the character generation system today, I'm supposed to get my replacement truck / read - land yacht / and I have some driving about tasks to do as well.

Actually, the game's author is Spanish, if I'm not mistaken. If I am, then he's European. But yes, he has a very dystopic view on capitalism, as further evidenced that the explorers are treated as consultants so that the company doesn't have to pay benefits.

I took the warlord background with illegal gotten gains. Was I the warlord, probably not. More like someone who embezzled a bunch of coin and got out while the getting was good.

I think "warlord" is a broadly defined term. There's no reason why your character couldn't be one. You ran a small militia, and when things started to fall apart, you took the money and ran.

I wasn't thinking Imortan Joe or The Lord Humongous. 🙂

If you don't like it I can change it. I like the idea of being a freedom fighter of sorts.

Who makes a printable document that starts out 8.5x11 on page one and then immediately changes to 11x17? Who does that?

Which Sci-Fi movie or TV show would you most liken earth tech to? Alien tech to? What show would you liken what's left of Earth to?

So I can mentally fit my brain into this universe.

Yeah, the dice roller doesn't do multiplication. I've tried and tried and then asked the GP vets who know the site code. No multiplication.

Not really sure on an exact match for Earth tech. Environmentally, it looks like Blade Runner: 2049, but there's no flying cars or androids. Beyond that, it's pretty close.

The alien tech might have the look of the Protomolecule Builders from The Expanse. Maybe a little bit of Prometheus.

I'll blame the talent thing on my lack of money. Clearly I didn't study the brochure on the way here. Maybe it was the Green Soylent paste I was forced to eat.

?? (Insert Final Character Name Here) was a rebel in Northern Europe fighting the forces of the Oligarchs and the Kleptocracy. They saw good successes over the years until they were betrayed from within and the cell was rounded up and placed in internment camps.

(Insert Final Character Name Here) either escaped capture or escaped the gulag and managed to work their way to a launch facility where they bribed their way onto a transport to (something or other) station.

Weird, my character stats vanished. Blargh.

Mostly, I want to realign some tables cuz they don’t show right for me but yes the body of the character is done.
