Parish smiles broadly as Gertrude takes the lure's box and is determined to go fishing.
He gives a blink to Monday.

"Ahhh and now relax... and fish... " he says to himself

Parish closes his eyes again as he moves his lure in the pond
trying to convince a fish (or any other thing) that it is tasty

Now come come, I will return you to your pond.
See you another day! "

"Nothing like a good cup of ... tea to reinvigorate you," Sherry says. She sets her cup down on the ground beside her and then readies her rod. A quick cast, then she sits back to wait.
OOC:
spend a token to fish
In short order, Sherry pulls out the same 3-eyed fish Parish just put back.

"I think maybe this fish wants to be eaten," Sherry says to Parish. She gets the fish off the hook and looks it in its three eyes. "You should have swam away when you had the chance." Something stirs inside Sherry, and she starts to squeeze the fish in her hand. She slowly increases the pressure until the fish's three eyes start to bug out. What sounds like a hiss escapes her mouth. "You do want to be eaten, don't you?"

As the fish looks like it might burst, Sherry relaxes her grip. She looks around to see who might have been paying attention. She relaxes back into her seat. "I guess you're too small to be even a satisfactory snack. Back you go then." With a flick of her wrist, Sherry tosses the fish unceremoniously across the water and it drops into the pond with a plop.

Sherry sighs and readies her pole again.

"See?" Monday continues. "With just a simple flick of the wrist, anyone can catch a..." Then she looks at what's been caught and a sense of dread comes over her. Don't panic, Monday, you can fix this! She hears her inner-self say.
OOC:
Going to spend a token to do a bingo: Some sort of fairy miracle
Using her other hand, she snaps her fingers behind her back and transforms the toilet seat she had just dragged up from the depths into a toilet seat fish. Hopefully nobody noticed that!

With an internal sigh of relief she guides the fish into the cooler. "It's that easy." She tells everyone with a lovely smile to keep up appearances.

Even though it didn't really go as planned, she's happy to see that Gertrude heads to fishing box. Looks like she has taken the bait.
OOC:
Pun intended :D
Not sure if this can be added to the list of catches. And even if so, it would be a 0 point one, I guess.

Sal bursts into laughter as Monday hauls up the toilet seat fish. "Nice one, Monday! Man, this place is wacky!"

He kicks back again, watching the others continue to cast their lines and pull up weird stuff. He's already got his catch for the day, so he's content to just laze about. It's one of his favorite past times, after all!

Parish approaches to observe Monday's catch

"For Yazeba's deep brows... what is that creature you got from the pond? I have come here many many days and never saw something of that type before... " he tries to touch the fish with one finger

"Are you going to... eat it? It might be a unique creature... mythical! The last of its species... It looks, unique! I have necer seen a fish with such a hole in the middle...

I once found a fish that was full of colours... its scales where each of one colour and they were shiny under the light of the sun... You could have spent hours just trying to name all the colours. And what was more intriguing is that it had the shape of a Zeta. I put it in a bucket and spend some hours watching it... I can still remember, it was yellow, red, orange, purple, cyan, magenta, olive, brown, black...

Parish keeps muttering colours names, each one a little bit quieter as the one before, with the eyes closed as he tries to remember how that beautiful fish looked like and all the different colours of its scales...

Monday realizes that Parish is asking way too many questions about her catch. If they keep giving their attention to the toilet fish, they might see through the ruse. I'll need to distract him somehow. She thinks as she comes up with a plan. The clear course of action here is to go on the offensive and deny everything!

"Oh I see what you're saying Parish." She says with a cheerful attitude and sarcastic undertone "What a wonderful fish. Monday could not possibly have caught that without cheating." She puts on her merchant's charm for this one. "Well, I'll have you know that I recently got a great deal on exotic fish and I needed somewhere to keep them. So I put them here for now until I find a buyer."

She walks over to the fish and picks it up. "But, if you're not interested in buying it, I suppose I'll just throw it back." Without waiting for an answer she simply throws the toilet seat back into the water. It swims off sideways, confused about it's new life.

All these lies are starting to stack up and somewhere deep down Monday feels bad about doing this to her fellow residents. But... not quite bad enough to not do it. At least she managed to get rid of the evidence!

Gertrude
As Gertrude hurries to get all the baits back in the box, she raises her head just in time to see Monday snap her fingers and catch a glimpse at the reflection of the fairy dust in the sun. She is not sure what to do about it, but as Sal and Parish sound so excited about Monday's catch, she doesn't feel like ruining it for them...

But when Monday says she is keeping exotic fish in the lake, she wonders if she could maybe catch one. She sits quietly on her own, trying to mimic Parish and Monday, and when finally she feels something biting, she too snaps her fingers.

"Oh wow! Look at this beautiful colour!" Gertrude is amazed by her catch as the sun ray reflect on the wet scales. "I'm going to call it carrot! Wouldn't it look so pretty in Yazeba's laundry room?" It's not exactly an exotic fish, but it is her first fish (non-talking at least).

Sherry makes another cast.

"That fish will not last a week in the laundry room," Sherry says. "Someone will knock it over or Rag-and-Bones will steal it. Or that feral cat will get in again and eat it.

"Of course, when I was in my prime, the cats all obeyed my will. No cat would dare eat one of my fish. Or hack up a hairball on my shoe while I'm trying to fold laundry." She pauses. "I don't like that cat," she says under her breath.
OOC:
Whoopsie: Complain bitterly about the good old days. Take a token.

Then spend a token to see what she catches.
Sherry's rod tugs, and she reels her line in. A moment later she is holding the same 3-eyed fish that she nearly killed. It's still a bit bug-eyed. Sherry holds the fish up and stares at it. "You again? You want to get eaten that bad, do you?" The fish seems to stare back at Sherry. "Maybe you're just too stubborn for your own good, huh? Like me. Or maybe you don't fit in here. Also like me. You wanna go somewhere new?

"HEY, SAL! she shouts, louder than is necessary. "Get me one of those jars too. I'm taking this guy home too."
OOC:
Metaphorically toss him in the bucket.

Monday watches catch after catch being pulled up from the water and everyone having fun doing it. It makes her envious. Why are they enjoying this so much? It's not like there's a business model behind any of this. She thinks. What's the point?

She comes to the conclusion that more information might bring an answer. As Parish puts down his rod after catching the snowglobe, she uses a bit of magic to dip the lure back into the water and wiggle it around. Not long after the line snaps tight and the reel begins to unwind with a 'rrrrrrrrr' round. "Ooh, Parish. Looks like you have another catch!" She yells at the knight. "If it's that fish with the hole in the middle again, you're welcome to buy it from me."

I think I'm offering a bad deal to Parish to buy the fish, but it's also almost breaking the "no soliciting" rule. They're both whoopsies.
So I get a token back? Or does that then offer 2 tokens? I'll leave that up to the DM :)

"Thank you, Sal," Sherry says. She plops the three-eyed fish in the jar and watches it swim around in the confines.
Parish says:
"...that one really loves you Miss Sherry, You are his cruuuuush!" ...doing a hearth with his fingers
"Shush, you fool," Sherry says to the frog. "This is clearly a dignified fish." And then to the fish, as she holds the jar up to her face. "Aren't you?"

Sherry starts to set the jar on the ground, but the ground is uneven. She turns around, looking for the best spot, and in the process, her voluminous dress hits her umbrella and knocks it over. Despite also having a large-brimmed hat and a veil on, the increase in sunlight is startling.

"Ah!" She shouts. Much fumbling about ensues, with the end result being Sherry sitting uncomfortably on the ground, clutching the fish jar in one arm and her uprooted umbrella in the other.

"No one speaks of this," Sherry says, looking around the group. "I can get into any of your rooms as a cloud of mist." It's probably a joke. "Now, will someone please help me

Monday swoops over to help Sherry up, smelling the the scent of opportunity in the air. "My dear, Sherry." She says sweetly as she offers a helping hand. "You should really come to the night market again. You know I have some anti-sun aging cream that will be sooo helpful!" The anti-sun aging cream was exactly as the name tells you, a cream to get rid of the nastiness of the sun, but at the same time it made you age much faster!

"Really, love, I can as the cool kids say... Hook a sister up." She winks as Sherry gets back on her feet and with a little fairy magic returns the umbrella to its normal condition.

Gertrude's eyes widen in worry as Sherry mentioned the cat. She is a grumpy old lady, but she wouldn't do that... or would she? And what if Yazeba didn't like her fish... Gertrude hasn't seen many pets around. Maybe she doesn't like pets. Maybe the B&B is pet-free. And what is she going to do about Carrot?  She can't just leave him in the magic lake, can she?
